While talking to the Blacksmith who allows you to modify items I had the following problems:
Tried to purchase a staff for my mage, made multiple attempts for no result, then crashed to desktop and on return had 12 staffs in inventory (all paid for)
Tried to test the item modification and crashed out to desktop.
Returned and tried to speak to him again and it rebooted my computer.
Spoke to NPC giving Kingdom missions, when I tried to accept the mission it locked my system.* I had to do a full reboot.
NPC who sells skills,* tried to buy a skill for my mage and could not,* tried again a few minutes later and 2 of the scrolls appeared in my inventory.
