Shield Crash question

This afternoon I finally got to level 46, so was able to use my Shield Crash lvl 2 skill book. After doing that though, I started noticing that when I use shield crash I'm not seeing any damage done to the monster -- and I always saw either damage or 'miss' when I was using shield crash lvl 1.

Has anyone else noticed this, and if so, is it worth the upgrade, or should I go buy myself a new lvl 1 book and stick with that?

Just right click the skill and press the little arrow on the bottom, you can switch between the ranks easily (I have up to lv 3 slash, but I still use lv 2 O.o)

So you've noticed the same thing (no damage) with shield crash lvl 2? It makes no sense to me that they'd remove the damage from the spell -- it's not worth upgrading when you lose the damage.

Also - why do you prefer slash lvl 2 to slash lvl 3? I upgraded that also, but didn't notice any major difference.

There was damage at level 1 because I didn't notice it.O_o

Shield Crash 2 works better on high level monsters because I was at loren and shield crash barely works with level 1, but with level 2 it works much better.

Ok, well -- maybe I was imagining things, or thinking about the effects from one of my other characters (like magic ice, which does inflict damage).

Well I started using slash 2 when I got blazing which I use it even when I'm soloing and I experimented to see how to make my hp and mp match so I didn't have to just rest for one.

And then when I started going with healers when I had 6 wisdom still I was using slash 1...ended up getting overweight (even though I started the grind right at 75% of my weight limit) so I switched to slash 2 to burn mana faster so I wouldn't get weighed down by items that dropped :P

But yeah, I thought I noticed the same thing but I rather have it stun then do damage, honestly...so shield crash 2 works fine for me.
