Glad i got your attention. But i would like to say that once again, after 2 threads, i am going to have to make a 3rd one. ONCE AGAIN, i have a problem. i am getting agitated with this game, and after* days of having it downloaded and installed, i cant play it. heres my problem.

i get to the main screen and *maybe* the create a character screen (if im lucky). and my screen flashes black, then goes back to the screen i was on with this message. *something something something* has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to commands. (something like that) then the screen goes black again, and stays black. then i have to restart

anyone help?

I doubt your card is fried. What it DOES look like is that your drivers are woefully outdated. Try updating your graphics drivers and see what that does.

here's a pic of the main screen, just seconds before it went black. should those glitchy looking lines be there?

looks either a driver and directx issue

or overheating.

I would want to make sure that the DirectX you are using is the latest version. The latest bundle for DirectX 9,0c is linked at the bottom of this post.

It could very well be that your directX is corrupted or not installed properly.

The problem seems clearly related to how the video card/DirectX/Fiesta are (not) interacting.

After reinstalling DirectX, try the game. If it still fails, try re-installing the video driver.

Make sure that you completely remove the driver that is installed right now, then install the current driver. You night want to try installing _just_ the display driver (you can download it separtely from the full Catalyst suite).

Try Fiesta again...if it _still_ has a problem, and this is after you have reinstalled DirectX and the Radeon X1300 driver software, then uninstall Fiesta and reinstall it.

Let us know how it goes.

i'd say so too... update your drivers and re-install DirectX... this has fixed some issues on other games.
It COULD be also that it gets too hot in your PC so eventually the Graphics Card will get too hot as well causing it to stop functioning correctly and needing a reset... a friend of mine had that kind of Problem once.
It was solved by installing a 120mm Revoltec Fan.
