Mining Ores?

got a question about oremining. Bought a Mining skill and a PickAxe but i can't equip the pickaxe.
is this a bug or is it something else?

when your in the mine, just go to the spot you want to "mine at" and the axe will equip itself.

Yes it is automatic equip, just go in the mine and stand in front of the spot. It should do it auto for you.
