Hello some of you may know me from my massive post count. I joined up with Outspark on June 3rd and have been hyping the game ever since. Through the two closed beta phases I have come up with a short little review of the game.

Fiesta has some good points:

<ul>
Kingdom Quests are somewhat innovative and fun
Leveling isn't too difficult
Some innovative monster models
Good guild communities
Guild wars sounds fun
wasd movement
Somewhat original/fun quests not just kill 100 of x monster
Quite a variety of environments
But there's a lot of bad:

<ul>
Climax is gone, been hype for the game too long with no release
Hyped up too much for being too generic
4 generic classes
Unbalanced pvp - will probably be fixed but meh
Unfair GM involvement
Terrible crafting system
No customization whatsoever
Limited stat and skill distribution and customization
Jumping is great, but you can't jump onto/over objects...
Lots of douchebag elitists
Kingdom quests were made too hard
Regular quests give too little exp now, aka grindfest now
Limited rare items, everyone looks the same
Lots of stat issues, INT hardly helps mage damage, doesn't affect healing amount, etc.
So all in all it's a pretty generic Korean MMO. I had high hopes for it, but it turned out to be pretty plain. The only things boosting its fun and innovation factor [all MMOs really go by nowadays] is wasd movement, which seems to be implemented far after point and click was implemented, that is to say it's pretty much useless and you get stuck a lot and can't jump over things. Kingdom Quests, which are like WoW instances but much harder with only sub-par rewards and you can't even make a private party you have to HOPE all of the people you want to go with get in, and it's only at certain times. Being able to declare war on any guild at any time and kill them anywhere is cool, but unfair to lower levels. The rest is all bad, I mean I can't think of anything else that makes this game stand out. I can think of a lot of stuff I would change but nothing much else good. A lot of the bad will be fixed in patches in the coming YEARS because the dev team is so slow [I'm a programmer so I do know how long this stuff takes], but overall since it's an exported game I don't think we'll be seeing any new innovative stuff for a very long time. Good game to pick up and play for a week or so, maybe more if you're really suicidal and/or have never played any other MMORPG in your life. Fiesta is one and the same with the common MMORPG, on a basic level.

KQ are that hard because the xp gain from completing it is massive, I'd get pissed if they'd make it easier, as the hardest part with the regular quests is finding out where the monsters you need to kill are.

They could've just implemented it a lot better, as getting in the same group as just even 1 friend is near impossible. If they'd allow grouped joining it'd be a lot better already, though I still don't get why there's a 2 hour delay between every joining time &amp;lt;.&amp;lt;

Overall, I got to agree with your review, as to me, it's just a nice way of passing time till uni starts, since there doesn't seem to be any new content past reaching the level requirement to join KQ D:

You don't understand, at low levels sure, but by the time you need 1,000,000 exp to level at like 40 something and the KQ gives you 3,000 and is near impossible to beat without perfect teamwork and skil...

This is a great review. I totally agree with everything you've said~*

Looks like they need to definitely balance out Quest rewards with levels then. That just calls for more mindless grinding or random quests. But mainly mindless grinding.

Character movement's a whole lot more flexible, but not flexible enough. Especially if you've played WoW.

I'm mainly hoping for more character customization but I highly doubt they'll implement anything more than one new face or hairstyle/color. The fact that everyone can only get a select group of equipment at every other level makes everyone unoriginal in terms of appearance. Originality is nonexistant in this game when it comes to character selection.

INT is a huge problem...It's just. Really odd for a Cleric or Mage to stock up on SPR rather than INT as it should. A lot of people are going to come into this game, thinking that INT is the most important stat in the world to a magic caster, only to find out that it helps only by a small margin.

The game looks awesome and great at first but. After a while of playing, all the problems start flooding in.

I was hoping that major changes could happen after closed beta, but if you think that it'll take a really long time for it to change then... That might not be a good thing for Fiesta.

Meanwhile though, it's definitely a good time-passer if you're annoyed with any other MMORPG out there.

They can implement stuff pretty easily and quickly, thing is everything they change will be met with whining and more suggestions, so to actually implement new stuff will take months if not a whole year. For example KQ's, first we complain that there aren't any, then we complain that they're too hard, then we complain that the exp isn't good enough, then we complain enhancing is too hard, pvp is unbalanced, clerics need to be nerfed, clerics need to be un-nerfed, etc. etc. They are working so hard trying to balance this stuff that they aren't going to release bonus stuff like hairstyles, etc. Also have you noticed we didn't get to test the cash shop? I smell a CB3. Have fun waiting another 2 months for OB guys, Utakata out.
