I was shopping and I saw the weapon that you duel wield with.(Turn Edge Blade which rider was using). Probally came from the new ice maps, but it requires 16 Agi to use. Doesn't say damage I would assume it would be the same as the primary weapons. Here is a pick of it.

You don't neccesarily need to do it >_> It's optional. and you guys forget that there are 2 handed swords coming as well! xD~ So pow is definitely still needed.

I'll ask rider the next time I see him. Good thing I invested 12 in agi already if it turns out to be true.

*does a lucky dance*
lucky me XD. well i decided to go 4 17 agi build to try out if it's only good ( not recommended at all). I'm a non sparkcash user so no restat 4 me:( So my build will turn out to be good eventually it seems. Oh, if the sword really need 16 agi to use, but i would suggest u add 17 agi instead. -0.1atk speed at 17 agi.

It will be interesting at least, but I'd certainly like to see those 2h swords, since I'm not a fan of dual-wield.

it is only optional ,oh ya and rogues need 11 power to carry Darkside Dagger(left arm,saw it in a shop),so it is a disadvantage for both classes as far as i know mages, archers, clerics and diciples cant carry a left-arm weapon.
EDIT: Shanky0,if you want to know the first point you put in agi decreases attack rate by -0.1,and when you add 16 points it decreases by -0.1

I was checking out for rouges and the sheild also requires 11 pow at the same level so you can alternate between them easier.

so anybody tested the dual wield weapons so far ? Is it worth raising agi to get it ?
Cant wait to have a 2handed sword, spear class weapons would be nice too.

i have seen somone use the duel weild wepons and it makes you attack twice instead of once so you do double as much damage

cool, it might be a good idea to invest into agi then. Hum now ill have to choose between dual wield or wait for 2h weapons, i sure dont want to start another squire if i make the wrong choice XD and i dont plan to buy in item shop...well i have enough time to think about it, lvl 96 is so far away

The dual wield weapon is a second attack at the cost of armor...I think it only affects normal attacks though, not skills.
The left hand weapon doesn't have any normal damage but can add up to 6ap...

My agi actually turned out good to get duel wield. xD I think I"ll try and ask rider about duel wield damage or just have him show it off.

plenty of questions
anyone know if the left hand sword can be upgraded?
if it can what kind of bonus?
2 ap per upgrade or something crappy like when shield is upgraded?
any knowledge of when the first 2hand sword is available?
is 2hand strong much stronger?

I've seen 2 4 and 6 on the left hand swords, and I am not really sure if + adds anything however OR if you can upgrade it. (I vaguely remember seeing a +1/4 in a shop, but I can't be 100% accurate on speaking about it)

ya i havent seen an upgraded lefthand sword for sure (only bonus AP ones around). people should understand some game mechanics rather than believe unsupported opinion of gm. rider showed us dual wielding but it seems completely useless, and we need some sort of comparison to two-handed weapons.

Today I was shopping and I found an upgraded +1 left hand sword for sale in Essene. If you want I can posted a screen shot of it.

it's alrite i just found it in essene now. it doesnt help at all, the upgrade shows no visible change

This is just a guess, but maybe it like having extra +/AP spots. Say instead of having a +10/6AP total weapon you could have a +20/12AP weapon. So probally a shield would be better for AoE and a duel weild may be better for a party or PvP.

ya i know it gives the bonus ap but i want to find out if upgrading it gives 2 more ap like when u upgrade mainhand weapon. maybe it gives only 1 ap or gives no ap which is ridiculous then

LOls one prob with duel weilding swords, u can't equip shield and that means u can;t use shield crash!
.quoc
04-17-2008, 09:07 AM
ya thats a good point. shield crash really important for aoe soloing. not so much if u have a good aco/cleric or group aoe. but if u were to dual wield you'd have to aoe on a weak map anyways due to less defense. so wearing a shield while mobbing them and switching to weapons to kill could work. just not sure if the amount of AP you can get is worth the points being spent since it is unknown how much AP you get for upgrading a left hand.

actually i doubt if u can use any skills when duel wield since about all the skills so far has weapon limit: one-handed sword=.=

you still wear the one-handed sword in dual weild, so only shield skills are effected.
It may take a little more effort, but you can always hotkey the sheild and second sword to alternate between them.

two handed is good in pvp since it adds more damage.. As for killing mobs, it is better to use shield rather than duel wield since u need shield crash and more def.. Maybe the best way is to alternate between shield and left handed sword depending on the situation..
