This is just one of my curiousity threads. Does anyone role play? As in: have a diffrent personality for each charicter they make. I would like to know what diffrent personalitys people give there charicters.
As for my charicters they are as follows.
blood dusk, aco: probly represents me the most in terms of personality.
Eternal Dusk, squire: the brave type who would sacrifice himself to save a party member without a second thought.
I look foward to hear what kind of other role playng charcters are out there.

I find it a little troublesome to roleplay ingame since every time I try that with people they go like "wat r u doin? lolz" ...ruins the mood xD So I don't, but I tend to be quite good at playing my character's personality.

....a pinch? is that suppose to be a really hard pinch or just a pinch?
anyways players RP everynow and then though it does suck when people interupt at a very good part.well i think it will be fun to rp in SoS as you can actually act it out,not to mention the emotes can be very useful like the classic sweat drop.

If I had to guess, a really hard pinch. ^-^
I used to roleplay on darkages though I dropped it whenever I was healing and sometimes when I was around newbs since they'd be like "***? Talk normal, i cant understand u"
Though we had a rather small roleplaying community some of the religions in the game were really into it. I didn't make priest for one of them because I was caught OOC (out of character) once while I was in another temple crashing their worship :P

its not that you have to so much roleplay, its just that you have to get into the head of your character. Odds are for most people their chars attitude will be the same as there own. They aren't trying to play something they themselves are NOT so much as just putting themself into the game and then playing thier part.

Very true. But personally if I was role playing Khrim she probably would be similar to how I am on the forums, very outspoken. Main reason it's not like my attitude 100% is because in real life I'm much quieter and I don't tend to talk to people that I don't know or haven't seen around. Though I've always helped people, I doubt Khrim would help anybody unless it was in her best interest or she got something from it.
When I started playing games I was almost exactly like I was in real life, quiet and kept to myself a lot but I started roleplaying and made my character more outgoing and kind of aggressive since at the time I played a rogue (I switched to healer after about 6 months). I got so much "into my character's head" that it kind of changed my personality online. xD It's a nerdy thing to have happen, I know.

thats what exactly what i did when i first started playing MMORPGs(rs was my first one,yes i know,i use to play rs not much of a big deal but does get you into MMORPGs)i acted like i did in rl and that earned me a lot of friends in online games, surprising i got more friends who were female than friends who were male in some sites, gaia for example,by just acting as i do in rl.

Yeah, I've tried but the kids playing in the game can't grasp the concept of Roleplaying. People kinda think that you're weird and they don't engage in what your trying to do. As for my characters personalities, I have a Cleric, a Fighter and a Mage. I play each one of them differently. My Cleric is nice to everyone, my Mage is a loner and my Fighter just loves to crush everything in sight. So they each bring out something different in me. As for an Archer, I've tried to play them but they just don't strike my attention the same way that my other characters do.

^-^ WEEEEEEEE, another fiesta player found his way over here :D *gives the fiesta player a cookie*
I've tried to help out new players who weren't RPers before when i was on my bard in darkages and they were like "why ru talking liek that? can u help mi or not" then I'd meet one of my friends later "O.o Kith...this newb I helped earlier said that you talk weird" Me: "I shall curse them with dark seal, where in Sgrios' name is he?" friend: "^_^ He's right...you do talk weird, but it's funny."
