For all disciples and templars:
Wouldn't you like an addition in skill effects?
There isn't much to look up to after you reach templar, for the skills are all vapid- Evil Dead for example, is just an enhanced version of Force Blast.

Look at this suggestion:

All other classes have a DoT effect! (Damage over Time)
Why should we, Pollutance's warriors, be left behind!

*This will hopefully be seen by one of the GMs*

If you don't agree, I would appreciate if you posted the reason, all other classes are welcome to vote too, but plz be fair.

I vote also but seems like im kinda late cuz poll is close XD. It be nice also if Dead Lock cuz stat effects like curse or bleeding.

Hello Solstice Players,

Secret of the Solstice has been developed with the character skills as how they are intended. For changes to occur, the developers would need to create new skills or alter old skills which takes time and consideration. I will do my best to push for a better balance for all classes in skills and other areas for the future.

i voted no cuz well, you guys are the only class with an HoT. I'd happily give up my DoT for a HoT. Plus, evil dead has a 1second stun that works 100% of the time(well if it hits of course)...i want that...

you could replace HoT with an item like hp pots, just spam up
you can't harm a character with a item

i did forget to mention the UBER HAX burning hands...by the time the stun effect of BH is done, u got a few seconds to just put it back in use. For us (neos) the cd is ix 3x that of the stun time zzz. Also, HoT are like extra potions if u may, and having two of them is just hax, thats 70hp with every tick. Also, some of us can only carry so much T.T

i'd like to view AH as something that helps us survive

squires have def
neos have dodge
disc have AH

now for burning hands.. i dont have that yet... ^_^ lol... i think higher lvls should answer this.. lol..

But would u give up, half of ur dodge and ur attack speed for it? AH for us is like dodge for neos/rogues... as carlky said, remember we r not as powerfull as fighters nor as fast as rogues, that's my point of view.

I vote no.. Is unfair to have HoT + DoT at the same.. Templar has very good def and decent damage.. And the BH is haxed.. You can't have it all.. Templar is unique as it is..

I dont think it's unfair, besides I'm not asking for a DoT like Oblivion + Ghost Steel combo, maybe a minor curse, with some hp decreasing, its use can be limited with a long cooldown...

If i was to get a move like evil dead (1second stun, spammable skill), get haxed cd on my evil voice, and an HoT, i'd gladly give up half my atk speed AND dodge for that. that all just spells "stun-lock" in pvp.

umm...i thought Evil Dead had a 1 sec cooldown to it? If this is true, then the cooldown vs. the stun are exactly equal. And seeing how it only works when it hits, it would still prove difficult to defeat a rogue seeing as we have a hard time hitting them.

I have to add that we r the only melee class which doesnt get dual wielding (aside the not getting DoT Skill detail, which is this topic about), I'm not asking for dual wielding but I think that a lvl96 DoT skill wouldnt unbalance the class...

PD: Auto-Genesis is not a AH version of Major Heal, that's Great Sphere.

not again the same discussion... AH is to us like dodging is for neos/rogues or ubber def for squires/knights... if we didnt have it we'd be weak knights ¬¬

But I'd exchange my Evil Dead (I dont like it lol) for ur Poison Blow xD

I just don't see the templars using them very soon. I don't know why. It just doesn't seem like those skills would suit them, you know what I mean? Probably not.

Outspark will probably make some more skills in the future. Be patient, mmkay? ;D

Hm.....what about if we can't have a DoT, how about a anti DoT skill O_o , that makes us immune to it , not talking about saint rising, something with a low cooldown time........


To KeliKay: I guess i could see 'how it doesn't suit disciples' but thats just a personal opinion of yours....the name burning hands , gah i used to think it could actually burn you, and was a DoT, and it turned out to be a stun... (good old nub days). Disciples are hybrids, right? but yet we don't have a DoT.......its not bad when your grinding (monsters have to much hp to really notice), but for pvp material, i dunno, maybe just a anti DoT skill would work ^_^......This comes for the fact that pvping against a scout...they hit 30s on me, while i hit 40s+, but then siphon and poison arrow, that accumulates and takes out massive chunks , and then the fact its hard to land hits on them, since they are ranged and if you are too low lvled to have burning hands

and i <3 the hole DoT thing but if temp or holy avengers were to have it, wouldnt it look alittle wrong?
ittl look like 2 huge hammer/mase looking things, but i could be wrong, maybe it might be experimented on and it looks toatily awesome!

ooooo what if a mage had DoT since they dont use a shield or anythin, jou could give them 2 magic wands

I keep supporting the idea of a DoT skill for our class, even if we get it at high lvls... I have seen how all other classes get their SECOND DoT skill(not sure but I think Archers have 3), and we dont get even one >_>

I think that it's not a madness what we r asking for...

Your post is confusing me. DoT-effects aren't depending on dual wielding as we have seen with Neophytes, Squires, Acolytes, Scouts and Apprentices using Damage over Time-effects before.

Thus, it makes me wonder why you think the Mage, the upgraded Apprentice, doesn't have a skill they gain in their 30s. ^_^'
