did i got SCAMMED!!? GM please solve this for me...

can someone or a GM help me with this, please?

i was looking for sum1 to enhance my T2 shield +8 to +9. a guy name K0healer came up and enhanced it and in only a few seconds he turned to me and said he forgot the mile and BROKE my shield! dat's really fishy coz it's the red eyes dat reduced the break rate not the miles.

the 1st pict shows that i did trade with him my shield. unfortunately, i didn't point on the shield to show dat it's a +8 like i said. but i hav some friends like KingTerror and Master_of_Lava who grind with me in Passage of Abyss this past few days. they can proof that i did use +8 shield. i hav another reference name Aurora010. i've been asking her to enhance my shield and other stuff for a few days now.

the second pict proof dat he SAID (only! i don know if it's true or he just lied to keep my shield) dat he broke my shield. he pointed the fault to the bug on the red eyes and miles. i don know if there really is a bug but Aurora010 never hav problem with that at all.
the sequence of speech in the whisper chat is:

Please, a GM or someone help me with this...

yeah i know it's dangerous but i was desperate to get it to +9. i ask Aurora010 to do it for me for 3-4 days but today she said she prefer to do T3. so i try asking for some1 else to do it. i also got some stuff from dat guy as trust. but they don worth as much as my shield T_T. it's a +8 lvl50 shield with +24 end on it!!

Just as one wouldn't trust one with something important with a total stranger in real life, you should apply such similar ideals in-game when regarding one's property. Sorry for your loss but you'll never see that shield again.

Yeah sorry to hear that. It sounds like you got scammed. That whole "perfects being bugged bug" has yet to be officially confirmed. I've done several enhancements since it was announced (practiced on my own stuff first just so I wouldn't ruin someone else's stuff) and have yet to experience it.

My gut reaction tells me that it was just a scammer who was abusing the fact that there's a "rumor" about the bug. He probably kept your shield or sold it for some $$.

My advice is always this: Never EVER shout in-game for an enhancer. You have no way of tracking them outside of the game unless you do your homework. It's good to check the forums or ask your guildmates (and even then beware).

Yeah, I wish I had all the time in the world (and the $$) to help everyone out. I try to respond to all my PM's but sometimes miss 1 or 2. I just realized yesterday that it shows a little arrow next to it if I responded or not hahah, so should be much better going forward.

I know us enhancers all have different schedules (and prices/discounts) so it can be confusing or frustrating sometimes waiting, but its probably still the best way to do it if you're not doing it yourself. Anyway, hope you're able to find a comparable shield to replace that one...

Glad to see you did get SOME collateral though, if it WAS a bug I feel bad for KO that now they don't have any weapons either...

this is all the detail events dat happened on dat day. the full detail dat i can remember. there r many suspicious action he did. even a very positive guy like me can't possibly feel positive about him anymore. after revising every detail, i'm 95% sure dat he did scam me!!!

Please GM's who witness this, deal with him as u think is suited. do not let such a person destroy the joy of the great game fiesta and the name of the lovely server, Teva. please, u must do something!!

On the main note.... you probably were.... now heres what you can do if the guy is on the up and up.... not likely, but possible... Whenever an item breaks because of the perfect miles breaking, somehow, not sure how, but somehow, the GM's can look into the list or whatever it is and pull it back out. All I can recommend is give them the time it happened (include your time zone. go to adjust date/time and go to the time zone tab to see the GMT), the date that it happened, and what the item's name was. naturally I'd figure you'll be trying to let them know what the item was.

They can't do a whole lot other than the ban hammer if he scammed you... but in a way, as much as I would rather not tell you, it *was* rather naieve of you to trust a random person. But you're probably right, because if he was honest, he'd know that you'd want some comphensation for that anyway. To ask for the equips back is just plain wrong, and he probably knew that. Any time I enhance for others (VERY RARE OCCURANCES) I try to give them something at least close to the starting value of the item, and give them heads up on each attempt.

*looks over your story* dude...... he said he "forgot" the red mile at one point, and then he changed his story to the perfect breaking.... looks like he got too greedy to realize that.... but that's what makes me think he scammed.

All I can say is report this to a GM calmly, try to sound at least somewhat neutral. People with that type of power want to know that you can be rational, and it'll add credibility to your report. Just let them know breifly what happened and that it really could have been either way, and they can look into it.

Scamming others is wrong. And even if it isn't against the ToA (i think it is tho) its certainly an offense that can allow banning of an account.

5) For all u ppl wanting to get ur wep enhanced plz dont bug enhancers as most if us either have a waiting list or are too new to it to help you.

as far as what you're saying, true, he did make a poor choice, I won't deny that, however, he is not limited to just contemplating "hm... wont do that again." He was asking what else he could do as well. I tried to give him information as to what he could do about what has happened.

As far as your question on stones. Its up to you if you're hired. I personally have experienced the perfect mile bug, so I at least do not claim it as a rumor but fact (at least for teva, it may be a server issue), but even putting that aside, so long as you both agree on what should happen, be it just they're paying you for miles and enhancing or just for the miles and they provide the stones, It is a deal YOU TWO decide. there really isn't a right or wrong... personally I would only ask that they provide the stones, but i only helped someone else out and my payment was some help lvling ^^.

WOW!! the GM's can track the item dat was destroyed? i didn't know dat... >.<
i can't remember the name of the shield. i just know dat it's a +8 with 24 END and some SPR on it... maybe 12 or 14spr.... the whole thing happened on the 04.01.2008 - 04.02.2008, at around 23:30 to 1:00 the next day in my time zone GMT+7. i hope this helps :s

i already did. i actually sent the link to this thread to GM since the day i posted it. SnakeEyes already put k0healer in jail, but i still don know exactly wat happened to my shield yet....

and yeah u r right dat there's a possibility dat i might be scamming the GM and u all by making up stories coz i hav no real proof to watever i've said so far yet. but why would i scam u and risk my account being suspended or deleted? wat will i possibly gain from it? a shield? lolz. that's ridiculous. my fighter is lvl57 now. i've been working very hard on him for about 3 months. even the most idiotic person wouldn't risk him for a shield haha. btw, if the shield really hav been destroyed, i can't get it back even i scam u all, can i? well... i hope this is clear. all i want is to know the truth whether i got scammed or not and if i did get scammed, i just want the GM to punish the scammer and if possible get my shield back. dat's all...
