View Full Version : People should listen to GMs and not Spoil Events

the last Dark Forces event in Elderine was a total failure from muy point of view. when the GMs asked people to move to the sidelines of elderine square some did not listen. i like most (probably would have liked to have seen 2 GMs battling without any interference from anyone. But did that happen? no. did everyone listen to GMs? some didn't. i give credit to those who ran their chars into the centre to try to get people to move.

Instead of rewarding maybe there should have been a punishment. say lower xp rates for a time and lower drop rates on items espescially quest items. xp rates lowered for those with exception to low lvls say 1-6 maybe. this would not be fair on myself or others who follow what the GMs say but may serve as a warning to others to listen and abide by what GMs say. the game as it is would be nothing without them. ignorance should NOT be rewarded.

i saw a GM say something about moving to the side and believe was GM Dakkon but in the chat went by so fast i could barely make out what was being said. i know lower xp rates and lower drop rates for items would not be fair on those who listen or are not in the town or area where event is but there would be no other way to punish those who do NOT listen.

i hope i have support on this matter as this was a complete shambles and not one of the GMs making but those ignorant in not listening or interferring with events.

who will support me on this topic?*

I for one didn't like the event. It was good in theory, but somewhere between wasting 2 hours, losing 8000 exp, and paying around 3-4 silver in Stones I realized that nothing good was happening.

Then they spawned chests, but since I was actually listening to the GMs I was nowhere close to them, and there was so much lag I never got anything out of them. So after all my loss I walked away with 1 Rumen Scroll.

But yes, there should've been some sort of punishment for the dozens of people who didn't listen.

If they won't listen then the GM's should immediately cancel the entire event and log off. IMO

I was not there so I'm not sure on what you are talking about but when you say some people did not move when told, are you sure that they were there and not afk.

They weren't afk, they followed the GMs around the city with a swarm of bees.

I dont know how many times i shouted out lous to get people to move during that event the worse part is there was an actual mushroom line that people had formed to show where not to pass but people as soon as the fight began ran towards them. I just want to say a very big shame on you for ruining the event for everyone else.

Also please come up with a new way to give out prizes cause i feel it unfair on the people who took part to come out empty handed and even worse when you see loads of other coming just for the drops and not even taking part for the event, maybe make it so that you have to go somewhere and once the event has sarted that place is locked so no one else can come in for the drops

i agree, it was frustrating becaus i waiated on sidelines like GM said, and then all of a sudden, then evnet was over, i saw nothing. then a bunch of chest.. could barley clikcon them, and when i was actually able to dig in one, i didnt evne get to get the prizes from it.

an idea, what they do in a game i have been playing for two years, is when you hold events, just automatically put an item in everyones inventory, if they have the space.

Well, this is still beta remember. Maybe the GM's will come up with a better way to work the fight. Like if when they started fighting they put up a big or ring of fire around them, so if someone did try to come close, they would get toasted!!

And if they dropped loot to drop it EVERYWHERE, instead of just the 10 drop points.

It's not as if these events are going to be common in Open Beta.
