Also, to explain what we're doing exactly, we're gonna have people take the role of chess pieces, directed by te Kings now I guess o_O

Hrmm...Scouts/Archers/Apprentices/Mages for Rooks, Squires/Knights/Disciples/Templars for Knights, Acos/clerics for Bishops, highest level player is the Queen for each side.
I guess pawns will be anyone, just take their hats off? o.O

yeah, we could escourt them there but that'd be a task(unless GM's would help teleport em). i guess we'd need another cass for the pawns. i think it's better if they are all the sameclass so theyare distinguishable, first class, and we need a lot of them. or we could have 8 of one class per side, eg one side has 8 Neo and other other side has 8 squires.

we seriously need to recast, as nobody will remember who is what piece. when you glance ata chess board you should instantly know what all the peces are(i'be played on chess boards that have so fancy peces it's hard to distinguish them from a glance). that way it's possible to see the position and the strategy. if we have random people in random spots then it'll be impossible to see the position, and impossible to plan the moves. i kniw i wouldent be able to tel the pieces apat if there are random selection of peole for pawns, and had a male knight as queen etc, all too confusing to play a propper game of chess.

i also know from these events that everyone can't always turn up at the same time, so there will be missing people. in the end we'd probably have to work it all out on the spot.

the main thing we shoulfd figure out is when and what time it wil be, then everyone meet up there.

LOL, i didn't mean to hijack the thread, just trying to help organize it. and i know how confusing it would be to have random people in random places, even with shop signs it's probably harder to get a overview of the scene. though i agree it might be limiting if there are only 2 spots for certain classes, with more people that are interested in joining. it'd also look cooler in the screen shots that way.

i think we should also make it that each team always faces forwards so that you know what piece is on which team.

as for time, one suggestion would be the same as the events, 12PDT, which would be in the afternoon for eastern america, and 7pm GMT, or evening in central europe. that would get all of europe and america, which is the largest player base. we could also use yellow eggs at the time, as i'm sure there will be some unfilled spots/people not turning up.

Mage types are rooks on team 1.
Clerical types are bishops on team 1.
Archer types are rooks on team 2.
Disciple types are bishops on team 2.
Female Rogue is queen.
Player is King.
