You should reword what you just said, I'm a bit confused.

If your egg won't go inside, unequip the incubator and then talk to the egg. Now you can equip the incubator (if that was your issue). Not sure if you can trade off the incubator but if that's possible you'd have to restart your pet quest. And who are you referring to?

Other people have done this too and i think they have had to restart the pet quest.

Minryu he means on the refining part where you have to use a jureahs pendant piece, people use a xen on that step too\instead, then they cant carry on with the quest.

I think thats what he means anyway, but best to pm a GM and hope for a reply, i doubt they will look here.
