Catsclaw, either i am doing something wrong (99% sure im not), you missed something, or i am supposed to do somethign else. here's what you said.
*Catsclaw-
<div class="content" style="clear: both">
The problem seems clearly related to how the video card/DirectX/Fiesta are (not) interacting.
After reinstalling DirectX, try the game. If it still fails, try re-installing the video driver.
Make sure that you completely remove the driver that is installed right now, then install the current driver. You night want to try installing _just_ the display driver (you can download it separtely from the full Catalyst suite).
Try Fiesta again...if it _still_ has a problem, and this is after you have reinstalled DirectX and the Radeon X1300 driver software, then uninstall Fiesta and reinstall it.
Let us know how it goes.

I did every*last thing you said, and i even followed the directions PERFECTLY. Some of the things you told me to install, i un-installed, then re-installed to make sure i did it right. i even went to the microsoft website, to install some more stuff**. but that didnt help either.
**things i downloaded-

Hi Vulture,
You should only need the &quot;End User Runtime Web-installer&quot; version, at 44.7Mb. The next one appears to be a complete version of DirectX, possibly for installation on a system that has never had DirectX, or that has had it systematically deleted from Windows.
You won't need the SDK version, as that is for game developers (or maybe you do, if you are a game developer!). But unless you are a dev, I would not install the SDK.
So, after installing DirectX, it should have updated or corrected any issue or corrupted file that it had. It is rare, but I have seen DirectX need to be reinstalled once in a while.
Then, it sounds like you followed my advice and uninstalled, then reinstalled the current ATI Radeon X1300 driver. Which is good. That means, in theory, that any corrupted or damaged part of the driver should now be fine.
Then, the next step was uninstall Fiesta, and reinstall it. I see I did not say so, but just to be sure the best troubleshooting procedure when reinstalling a problematic game would be: uninstall the game, delete the Outspark folder located at C:\Program Files\Outspark, empty the recycle bin, restart the system, hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to see the Task Manager, End Task on anything you see listed under Applications, then...reinstall the game. And try to start it and play.
And so...what exactly happens now when you try to start Fiesta? Does it behave exactly the same as before? do you get any errors? What do you see on-screen when it tries to start?
We don't have your exact model of Radeon here to test with (I wish we did), but we do have the game running nicely on a couple of other model Radeons.
Let me know what you are getting now when you try to start the game. I am going to try and see if our Radeons have any settings that, when active, give the same results you are getting, it may be easy to find if that is the case. It may be a case where we will need to contact ATI and request that they take a look at the issue themselves, as there are sometimes bugs with a particular hardware/software setup that simply prevents a particular game from working.
Let us know what you are seeing.

let me first say, i am not mad, im just growing curious as to why this is not working (it didnt work)i did everything you said, and even remembered to delete the folder.
1.it behaves exactly as before (i start, i hit the server, hit join,it doesnt*do anything, screen goes black, then back to normal, sounds start repeating themselves, the dragon comes, and the screen goes black again, i hit alt-f4 to close the game.....and then i end up at my desktop)
2.no error*messages
3. i see this when it is as the title screen.* http://img106.imageshack.us/my.php?image=isntworkingyetdp0.png ("http://img106.imageshack.us/my.php?image=isntworkingyetdp0.png")
thanks again
and hopefully we can resolve this problem

Hmmm. I'm pretty convinced that your vid card must be OK at this point, as long as you are no longer getting the &quot;*something something something* has reset your graphics accelerator &quot; message now. (?)
Do you have any firewall or antivirus software installed? Try disabling it or better setting it to Allow traffic to and from Outspark.
It now just sounds like something is blocking the communication between the client and our server. Make sure that Internet Explorer is set to Work Online (under File). Windows itself has a firewall, which normally does not interfere with Fiesta, but you might try disabling it, in addition to any other software firewall (ZoneAlarm?).
Post back re: any firewall and/or antivirus software...again, since you no longer get a message about the 3D card, this seems to be a different issue.

No worries Vulture, it's not &quot;giving me a hard time&quot;, but you do have me scratching my head a bit. We really just want you to be able to play. Something that you might want to do, just to cover all bases, is contact your ISPfor suggestions. I think in CB1 we had a player with a similar issue, in that his ISP was blocking usfor some reason...he did contact them and they resolved it on their end.
Check your PM's too...sending you something.
I'll see what else we can suggest, hopefully post back later today.
