What type of cleric do you think is better, i say a party cleric. If you make a party cleric, they can easily find a fighter to duo with, and that way all the clerics has to do is heal. But if you are a solo cleric, you waste more mana having to use your fighting skill at use heal alot, but thats just my opinion, and this is coming for a party cleric^^

Cleric who soloes, simply to prove everyone wrong that we CAN be offensive players.

Party clerics give us fun to explore many high places and survive.;)
Solo clerics are fascinating. Also very interesting.

Party is better because in theory, book, novels, lifes and base on cleric's skills, Cleric ment to be a party supportor.
Those of you choose to be a totally solo cleric didn't really do what cleric need to do but I don't blame you or make you feel offended because it is ok since it is a game.
And yet, there is no doubt that cleric can also be a good soloer or a good tanker.
Like me, Im half - half.

I would disagree that there are party Clerics and there are solo Clerics, and that neither is good at the other job. The solo Cleric is self-sufficient, and can do both jobs. I grind until I get bored, then party and play the healer. If the party breaks up or if it's full of idiots, then I can happily leave and solo again. It gives you flexibility and freedom.
Personally I use far more SP when I'm the party healer than I do when solo. I also get far less drops so less money. Partying all the time seems a good way to go broke to me :D

I'm a 31 cleric, and so far find I enjoy parties more, thou I tend to solo more often than not. Sure, you get better XP and all the loot while solo, but the things that give the best XP tend to take so long to kill that a new one pops up to join the fight. Even when that doesn't happen, we are still the lowest damage class in the game. Not an oppinion, look at the weapon list at the smith's, we've got the lowest base damage. Less XP per kill in a party, but more kills in the same ammount of time, it tends to round out well. Without a doubt, solo clerics get more money than a support cleric... Especialy when the party leader is too rude to set it to sequential rooting.

You're killing the wrong things. You don't go for the monster that gives you the most XP for one kill, you go for the ones that give you the most over time. I knew someone obsessed with Orcs because they gave great XP, and he roped me into killing them for him. Thing is it took me ages to kill one. I could kill three Goblin Captains in the time it took, and not only get twice or more XP in the same time, but also not be fighting for my life so much.
I do agree our damage is bad though. When I was level 51 I took a level 41 Archer friend to Uru to kill Orc Hunters. She killed them quicker than me, and I'm 25 SPR rest STR with a +9 hammer AND an Orc Hunter Executioner license. Not to mention 10 levels above her! :D

Solo is slower with about the same exp and drops unless you have an extremely dedicated solo build and a +7-9 hammer. Otherwise the killing speed is so slow that there is no real benefit.
But I don't think you can really say one is better. They each do different jobs.

Depend on how fast you wanna level.
SOLO is good but slower then party.
but alot of pepole prefer to solo for drops.

Leveling too fast is overrated. :p
Especially if you're short on money. Soloing will get you adequate exp, good drops, and better chances for greens/blues...
Plus i get more satisfaction knowing that I can kill a mob and level on my own...

I must be getting bad parties. I admit I've only ever been in three aoe ones, but I find levelling slower when I party. I get more solo. The only reason I do party is when I want some company - that's the only advantage I've seen so far.

A party of 2 is the perfect one to get exp and to get loot

I like Cleric's who know how to do their job in a given situation XD.
I personally prefer to Solo myself. Less lag, less people to worry about keeping alive, plus I don't die as often as I do in a party XD.
I do enjoy partying with friends every once in a while.
It really just depends on your style of play.

It's a tie! I solo or duo depending on my mood. =P
Mages + Cleric = Win! ^^
From 46-47, I gained 100s, then lost it when I had to do those quests o.O
A mage was soloing beside me, and for every Weakened Ogre I killed, she killed 3. I'm guessing I'd make about that much money in a shorter amount of time, and level too.

Well I don't think that one or the other is necessarily better than the other, however I voted solo since that's what I prefer to play. Really it all depends on what you like to do that decides which kind of cleric would be the better one for you. I prefer soloing so that's the best one for me. I'd say I solo at least 95% of the time, possibly more. I only party if I'm extremely bored or have to kill boss monsters. Let's face it, you might level more slowly going solo, but you will end up saving up a lot more money that way from getting all the drops. I'm in no hurry to level, what's the point of leveling fast if you can't afford to buy the new gear once you get up there?

well i have to agree that i solo more than i party, but im lvl 29 cleric, and when i party with my freinds lvl 40 fighter, we party in CP and i get twice as much exp than solo, plus i only duo unless with 40+ fighter mage and archer for AOE, but when i do with 40+ fighter in cp, we put it to seq alo and end up getting more cash, i jumped from lvl 25 to 28 in 4 hours just be duoing in CP, so i still say a party cleric is better, if you have the right person to party with

I would say a party cleric, because they can perform well parties and still solo; albeit much slower than a solo cleric. However, you will find yourself partying a lot in this game, so party builds tend to be the best unless you are a PvP maniac or really antisocial. I soloed almost all of my characters, and trust me: it's not for the impatient. Partying is a much better way of enjoying the game, and you should really only solo if you need to farm or just have an easy quest to complete. If it can be avoided, that is.

I started soloing at 50 all the way to 58ish 90% of the time trying to raise my orc license.
I saved up a bit money to enhance to +4 then +6 to +8 then finally +9 I think.:p
I could solo a bit faster on experience then a party could.:p I got about 3-4 great parties in my 50's.
I like soloing since of great experience then parties seem to get more. Then I just soloed for money then summon beast leather. When I finally went to spider KQ, it just beat the purpose of soloing orcs.>.<
Spider KQ= tier 3 drops, 30 of each, around 5 stacks for me.
I would've rather partied in my 50's.>.<

I tend to enjoy parties with other clerics. It's rare to see, but 5 clerics workign togather is beyond the ability of most monsters to kill. And if you do die... any of the other 4 can bring you back.
Or maybe I have too many other clerics on my friends list :D

They both have their advantages and disadvantages, and in my opinion, neither is better than the other. I do both in pretty equal proportions.
Parties are generally better exp, but it can be hard to find a good one if you can't just party with friends or guildmates. Parties also have more downtime, if party members go afk etc. A party also requires more killing space, which can be a problem at higher levels on a crowded server like Teva. If you can get a good party and a good hunting ground, though, the exp blows away anything you can get solo, and having people to talk to helps keep the boredom away.
While solo exp isn't as good as a well-balanced party, solo is steady exp, and you can go at your own pace. I solo when I don't have as much time to play, or if I just need a break from the responsibilities of keeping a party alive. When solo, I can afk whenever I want, and fight where I want without being limited to AoE areas. Soloing also generally gives better drops. It does get very tedious, though, and a soloing cleric has to have patience. It also helps to have people to chat with in whispers or shout. :)
As for build, I have a solo build (str/spr) simply because I feel that the str bonus benefits soloing more than the lack of END hurts my ability to party. I have to be more conscious of my own health, and I probably eat more stones/potions than an END cleric would, but thus far it hasn't hurt my ability to keep my party members alive.

I have a solo cleric cause i think they are more fun than just buffing party members even though being a FS cleric means youll be in a party alot and lvl up faster than a solo cleric.solo clerics are just more fun to me maybe others like being fs i prefer to kick butt and buff myself at the same time.
