Hey, everytime I start the launcher, I get this error. I've already reinstalled/redownloaded the installer, so I'm not sure what's up. Here's a screenshot - can anyone help?

Edit: I was looking into this on my own, looked into the system event log viewer, and found out it's a side-by-side error. I only saw one other topic on Application configuration, but a few on side-by-side. I'll take a look at those, but in the meantime, if anyone knows how to fix this sidebyside error, it would be a great help.* The only other person I've seen on the forums with this problem are SquishChan (i think that's the name), and Jace-Marian.

Try not using firefox to download the game.. Try using the latest Internet Explorer.. Then try turning off your Norton firewall... If didn't work.. Turn off windows firewall also or if you have Zone Alarm, turn off that too.
After the installation is done turn on your firewall.. Open the game. If still have problems PM me, and I will try to help.

I assume this is Windows Vista. Try turning off your anti-virus before attempting to install.

Nah, windows XP. I'm going to try it with IE now, and let you know what happens.
Edit: Nope, the same error still shows up.

Silly question perhaps. Seeing the path there on the screen shot I was wondering if you still have it in its default folder? Or did you perhaps change its location?
(Since I do remember some older games gave me trouble as well if I didn't install them to the default folder)
Firefox/IE shouldn't make a problem btw.
But also did you try starting up the game from the folder itself? By going with the explorer to the Launcher folder and starting outspark.exe from there.
Probably won't work, but is worth a try.
Last but not least, have you got Windows updated enough? Like, this is going to sound really weird but oh well, have you got service pack 2?
If these things aren't the problem, then send me a PM and I'll send you some screenshots of my folders with details.

Yeah, I didn't move anything, and I also tried started it from the folder itself. And the windows thing.. I'm really not sure. I'm pretty sure I have service pack 2, but then again, there's that nagging bit of doubt. I currently have access to the game, but on someone elses laptop, and not my PC, which provides for a bit of a problem. :P Plus my PC monitor is like 2x as big as the laptops, and Fiesta would look sweeter.

-) outspark ("<PATH>\Outspark\Launcher\outspark.exe ")
