View Full Version : People asking for crowns.

In the last couple of days I've seen a few people offering to buy crowns. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that crowns can't be traded. Even if they could, you'd probably have to pay a fortune for someone to let theirs go since it's a permanent premium item that you can't get anymore. I just wanted to make sure though because I am able to put my crown in storage, but other items like the bunny tail I can't put in storage.

I actually had someone in my party the other day offer to buy mine for 5s! I told him I wasn't selling it and that 5s was very little money to me anyway. Then he offered me 10s for it. I again told him no and said that 10s was still not a lot of money. Then he asked me how much money I had. I should've kept my mouth shut but I told him that I had a few hundred silver on various characters. Then he started begging me for money cause he was broke. I lied and told him all my money was in storage and didn't have any on me. I hate beggers, no one ever gave me anything for free, and I've never begged for anything. If I got where I am all on my own, then so can everyone else. I ended up deleting that guy from my friends list. I felt bad about it cause the guy did help with killing King Marlone, but I really don't want someone that annoying being able to contact me anytime he wants.

They aren't tradeable. But they are transferrable to other characters on the account via storage. And its against the rules to sell event items.

This is correct. As for now, the rule on event items, speical GM gifts, etc. is they cannot be traded/sold. Will this change in the future? Possibly, but for now it is a no-go.

Well if they aren't even able to be traded I wonder why they needed the rule against selling event prizes? Seems like it would just prevent itself.

I see...
Does this mean you're not suppose to sell or trade event quest items(eggs, chocos, etc.), or do you just mean that some prizes are tradeable? I'd be very surprised if the event quest items trading/selling was against the rules considering the huge number of people that do it. I'll even admit that I've done it.

Some items are tradeable.

Yes, this is true. Some items, like GM gifts or prizes, must be handed directly from the GM to the player, making the item tradeable. However, it is still illegal to attempt to sell/trade that item after.

I wish there was a way to bind these items to players once it is handed over...

Some items are tradeable.

For example, that Valentines Suit those, who participated the event, got, are tradeable. It never actually occured in my mind tho if you could sell it ( in a vendor, naturally when it's tradeable you could just easily trade it for money = =; ) ; I'm not sure does this apply in event prices 0:
Edit//apparently it does

Oh, and don't worry Kythe. Next time you see a begger, if you don't feel like giving them money, simply say: "You should play and grind instead as you will be proud of the money earned".

No need to lie :)

Yup, but it isn't too hard to find people if they're selling the items. Not everyday you see premie items being sold in vendors ;p

No, these are quested items to attain towards a item/result.

What they are talking about is selling of actual items like Cat Houses, Gold Enhancement stones, and anything else attained from a GM or non-traditional means (ie hunting drop stuff is ok).

Ok that's good to know, wouldn't have wanted to break the rules unintentionally. It's good that we can sell them, I often get more than I need. In fact with the eggs I just got so tired of vending the extras that I stopped picking them up and let other people have them for free.

That's a good idea, I mean afterall, I am proud of the money I've earned on my own. Unfortunately a lot of people don't care about that and just want handouts. I did however suggest to him that he make items to sell since that was how I got most of my money.
