Horrible lags

hi.


im new to fiesta andit sure looks like a great game, but i am expiriencing terrible lags when i am on the server, and i do mean TERRIBLE, half the time i cant see all the other characters and cant seem to hit anything.


now, i have a nice computer which surpasses the minimum requirements and yet... cant seem to play well, my connection is broadband of course and ive no problems playing other online games, i tried to shut off windows xp firewall but that didnt do any good... help me please

Just to verify what you can expect, please post your system specs as described below:


Run DxDiag (Start>Run>dxdiag>OK...check System and Display for:


Operating System (Exact version, also is it an English Language version or something else?)


Processor


Memory


Page File


DirectX version (needs to be 9.0c>higher!)


Display Device Name


Approx. Total Memory


Display Device Driver Version (ex: 6.14.xxxx.xxxx)





Additionally, what is your upload speed, download speed and latency (ping)?


Use the internet speed test of your choice, or check on these at this site ("http://www.speedtest.net/")


Post upload, download and ping.


These will give us a better idea about what you should expect in the game.


To reduce lag as much as possible, in Fiesta we would suggest running with minimal graphics settings. In towns, you can Hide other characters by using Shift+Z...these techniques will likely provide a less laggy game experience for you.

i also checked that speed check site, but the results are bogus because it indicates my ping is 25, download 618 and upload 110, which doesnt seem realistic, because the highest speeds i ever downloaded are about 150 kb(which is not bad i guess, but its no 600) and my max upload is like 15 kb, when i open my connection properties it says connected at 1.8 mb hope that helps you to help me :))) thx in advance

Hey i lag badly too and i died many times cos of LAG!

yes, but my lag is much worse than yours i would guess, i can never attack enemies, took me about 30 minutes to kill 6 of these slimes to lvl up, all because when i hit them the game freezes up and i can hardly see other users walking around, they are just standing,and then a second later tey run around, i get like 50 dmg and die lol


i played around in a lot of mmorpg's and i know all about lag but this is by far the worst i have ever expirienced in my life... that's why i decided to post it... by the way, a question to the gm: when will the new server be available? perhaps then it will all work out... i hope, i just really want to play
