Most people will tell you not to put points in end as a mage though suposedly there are some sucessfull full end mages around. But really it just depends whether you want to live a bit longer or make more damage. And well as a mage you will always have trouble soloing red mobs but in a duo/party damage is more important than defence. Though you can always enhance either your armor or wepon, depending on what you lack.
As for my personal prefferences, I'm 10 spr rest int and at 51 im very happy with my build but if i were starting over i'd probably go full int. I dont really miss end though it helps that I have a lot of end/int equipment.

My preference is full int. I won't go with 25 end 25spr setup.
