I am looking for advice from fellow squires who have used "Reflection" as an AOE. Just turned 51 and added reflection. Currently using Shoes of Trial +1 6AP and Gloves of Trial +1 6AP with the remainder of the Trial +1 6AP set waiting to equip and Sword of Sun +4 6AP.

Anyone? Best Maps?

I'd like this information as well - I tried it out in an area where the mobs were not particularly dangerous, but since the mobs ran from me, it wasn't overly effective.

I did discover, however, that you do need to be careful when you use it (sadly discovered this in Rudwork) -- let's say you have 2 mobs attacking you and a third standing by, but just minding it's own business, and then you cast 'reflection' .... whoops, now you have all 3 mobs attacking you, and since reflection doesn't do much damage and has a 7 second cooldown, you'd better be stocked up with HP potions or prepared to run.

Since this is the first AOE skill that any of my characters has gotten, hearing how others use it, and the best way not to get killed (or inadvertently kill unsuspecting players) would be appreciated.

ok i've used it as an AoE, but not as much seeing as how i dont have too many good equips. here are my advice about using it tho

1. First and foremost...have EXCELLENT equips preferably +1/6AP. as you'll be taking a lot of dmg, so the better your equips are...the less chance u have of getting killed
2. Have a party! I'd say you should have a least 2 acos in your party if you're gonna AoE w/ reflection. Of course you don't want a big party as the whole point is to have a small party so ya'll get uber exp. Any other party members should be melee as ranged characters will draw the monsters AWAY from you.
3. AoE either pink or white mobs, tho i say its better to AoE the white mobs as you should be able to solo them.
4.Bring pots just in case caz u never know when you might need it.
5.Attack only one monster at a time. Don't attack this one then that one. If you attack only one monster they die faster and then you can move on to the next monster.
6.Lastly know your limit. You are NOT a knight and reflection is only a semi AoE skill so dont try to AoE the whole map i'd say start off with no more than six monsters at a time and through trial and error...work your way up from there.
7. Stop at a safe spot away from other players so you don't kill them, preferably in a corner somewhere. Near safe zones are a BIG no no.
8. GOOD LUCK!!

Basics of Reflection AoE.

-Don't use it until you reach at least your full trial set and keep upgrading your armor.(atm I have +4 trial shield, +4/4AP helm, +4/6AP armor, +3/6AP happy shoes +1/6AP happy gloves, and a +4/4AP sun sword and I can AoE the map before Rud with level 2 bless)

-Get the hang of it by going into the sewers where everything is aggro

-BRING A GOOD ACO. Self AoE will cost you to many pots if you try and drag a whole map or get aggroed by a hard hitter.

-The first map I would suggest AoEing would be Gaudy Forest two maps west of CV and everytime you can upgrade your armor go a map or so west until you can AoE Realto which is two maps east of CV. After that I would suggest going east Eir until you can AoE Rudwork and stay there until you can get to Loren.

-Not a real training tool, just something to do for fun or items, I woudl rather suggest getting a Loren party. Only worth it if you can AoE bloody red mobs.

-Stay close to you rmobs and trust your aco to heal you

-Also look around the forums for the basics of AoE(idk if anyone has written them) because that woule also help.

-Blazing is your friend

-Try to be nice about, shout when you are going ot kill your mob and before you start AoEing because everything will die at the same time and anyone else on the map will get surrounded and probally get attacked by aggros.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

I've both used reflection as an AOE and healed for a reflection AOEr...I agree with the previous two posts.

But we cannot stress HOW IMPORTANT good gear is for this. Everything should be +1/6 or +2/4 or BETTER. (Your weapon is EQUALLY IMPORTANT!) The color of the monsters isn't as important as how long it takes you to kill them and how much damage they do on you.

As for taking an aco with you, try to get a reliable one who knows how to keep bless up if you need it for that map.

Your weapon is important because reflection damage is similar to your auto-attack damage.

Unlike orangeman, I suggest AOEing about 3 maps west of CV, at Tellingdenver Lake with the sharkmons. It's easy to get the hang of it there and there are plenty of nooks to have the aco hide in.

Like Dre said, reflection AOE is slower then wild swing. Make sure you and your aco can survive the whole fight.

Note about the acos though: Ask early on if they use potions...if they don't then that is a bad sign. (If somebody asks me my reply is "If I need to, then yes" I use pots on my aco when I can't rely on mana regen by sitting)
