Cannot cast any spells

I've only just started so its possible that I'm just a noob and am missing something but after logging in i can use the beginner mage spell a few times before it stops working. Then i get messages like incorrect spell or casting another skill now. If i try attacking different enemies occasionally I will pull off one spell but then it stops working again. I'm pretty sure that must be a glitch or something.

The other thing is taht with all of my characters i left click the enemy then left click again to attack and nothing happens. I just swing whatever it is I'm holding slightly and it doesn't really look as though I'm attacking. The enemies never take damage or even seem to get affected at all by it.

Wonder if anyone has any solutions for me?

could this be the cool down time between casting a spell your talking about?





when you cast a spell they take a little time to recharge then you can use them again.

I've tried waiting and things and the only thing that works is logging off and on but it breaks again after about 10 seconds. I dunno if it might be some key I press or something but I really haven't got a clue. Also with the attacking thing, on my warrior he wont attack at all even from the start so I may be doing it wrong. Hopefully someone could shed some light.

i've only been playing for about 3 days myself so im not nearly as knowledgable as most in the forums.


with the short cuts do you see a shadow over the skill you used thats slowly clears once you have attacked with a skill?

No, the cooldown finishes before i try casting. What happens is that I go through with the spell but instead of a proectile coming out a kind of ring of light comes up then dissipates and it says casting another skill now.
