How much should I expect to pay for a +8/9 GGK axe?

It depends. For +0, GGK Axe with high END (e.g. around +18END) worth around 150-200s, and GGK Axe with both high END and STR, or above average END, STR and DEX, those worth between 300-350s. As for crappy stat GGK (like no or low STR and END), you can get those probably at 50s or less.

Now, for +9...it really depends. Because for +9 items, almost everyone that want to sell will put them up for auction, no manner how good or bad the stats are. So how much you pay for them depends entirely on if you are able to meet the sellers expect price, plus the people you are compete against on bidding (e.g. For my +9 level 50 Fighter armor with +20STR and +24END, I had to offer up to 4g in the auction to get it, because I was bidding against Garamor, and then about 1 week later, TK was auctioning also a +9 level 50 fighter armor, with 1 more STR and END, and he only managed to sell it at 3.3g because the completion on the auction was not intense. So basically I overpaid 700s for a same item that got less stats. I was gutted, but what's done is done, we ain't psychic that can foresee the future).
