Wow! New KS Definition

Today I ran into a solo fighter at Goblin Camp, both of us obviously on goblin and prock quests, both on the hill by the bridge and entrance. I'm a cleric and whacked on a prock, when the fighter tells me not to KS. I replied, a bit dumbfounded, you weren't hitting on the prock and he replied, "I was going to hit it so you are KSing and I'm going to report you."
He then called me a noob, etc. etc.
What have we come to now to begin considering it KSing when someone attacks a monster you were "going to attack"?
Give me a break, both of us were grinding in a target rich environment. Lighten up!!

Ugh... see... people like that should just... go away to some place and never come back again.

I was fighting in CP the other week, and had a king coal and a weakened ogre fighting me at once. I was fine, and obviously was going to kill them both, I dont see how this could not be obvious... but this guy comes up over the hill, and starts killing the king coal! I say "Oi, stop it, I'm fighting these things here, don't KS" and they say "it's not KS, you're not fighting that one, it's my kill" once it was over I moved away and said their definition of KSing is totaly warped, and then they tell me "oh shut up, you're boring me"

o.O sometimes, if a player is surrounded by a group of mobs, and if u tink he needs help, the most courteous thing u can do is to ask "Need any help?" before taking away his mobs... because it is highly irritating when im tanking (clanking) 3-4 monsters n a fighter comes along n mock my mobs. O.o but of course, i wldnt accuse u of "KS"... but still... it irritates...

Personaly I would not have any problems with one, two, three, or maybe 4 mobs taken from me by the same person within the same 4 kills.. ok mistakes yeah we both go after the same one spam our attacks and oh it was yours?

I AM SORRY PEOPLE!!! I can't see all around me I just like to kill stuff. But I would never take a monster from anyone intentionaly, unless they were a lower level then the area and they were about to die ... but thats tricky too cus i see lots of players like clerics and fighters taking on too much... and they live!!!

Those type of players should have a walk in a Park or somewhere to relax lol! :p

Better yet, they should learn a lesson or two by dying in a spawn point where it is impossible for the Clerics to revive them without the help of Invincibility and I hope it's in a cooldown! :p

I'm so glad to say I'm one of them whether using my Fighter or Cleric! ;)
Just like what I said before in other thread, if you see Healerie Killing mobs and trying to survive with Heal, stones and pots, please don't help me 'coz I know what I am doing but if you help me then thanks! :D

After the hot battle or once I get a chance to type, I'll please you to stop 'coz I can hold on! ;)

I take on several mobs at the time as well, by myself too, and people seem to think I need help. Now, if I really needed help I would not Mock nor use Devastate on the surrounding mobs.

On top of that, if I'm surrounded by mobs in CP... a level 20 Fighter is not going to help me kill anything. So shoo.

Well yeah, if at least level 25 Cleric I guess, (could be less) then they just need help once they get 2 mobs on them! :rolleyes:

Woah... lv 20's in CP?? I see lv 30's in there and all I can do is sit back and hope they'll be okay... lol. I'm a lv 48 cleric, and can handle 3 king coals and a weakened ogre and survive quite fine, but it has only been in the last few lv's where I've gone in there to solo.

If someone needs help, I ask them. If they tell me to go, I go, if they say 'HALP!' then I'm in! lol. If you just observe, you can kind of tell if someone will be alright. And I know that archers/mages like to kite sometimes, so I dont see them running away and think "oh, they're in trouble", I just let them to their thang and wander off...

As a full int mage, i usually die when i get attacked by more than 2 monsters. If an other monster spawns behind me or someone pull a train next to me, i usually like it when people come to help. so i often help the mage that are trying to fight 3 monster at a time by killing the one that he/she hasn't attacked yet. I usually get a thank you for that.

When a cleric is in the heat of battle, asking a question like "Need any help?" does no good at all. Most clerics need to be active with the keyboard and don't have an opportunity to even respond to any question. As a lvl 61 cleric, I never respond to questions when I am fighting...it's too dangerous. So please, DON'T ask a question when a cleric is fighting. You should already be aware of this, if you are experienced in soloing. If you have a great desire to help players, join a party and help them. Otherwise, leave solo players alone. Why players are so concerned about another player's battle is beyond me. Is it really so difficult to just go on your way and not target another player to see how he/she is doing? If I see another player fighting some mobs, I don't bother them and I don't target them. Leave players alone...it's not your concern.

Just do yourself a favor and don't kill anything on the server I play on. One day I will want to kill the type of mobs you are fighting, so it's kill-stealing, obviously.

Sarcasm aside, my general rule of thumb is if a person has more than one mob on them, and it's a crowded area where everyone is fighting to get a mob, I will most definitely, 100% attack the mob the person is not focused on. I think it's wonderful they can handle more than 1 mob at a time, however their ability to hog mobs is not greater than my need to knock out whatever quest I'm doing. Now, if it's *not* crowded, I will happily wait the 30 seconds or so for the next mob to pop while the person finished off their mobs.

This is gonna sound a little bit wacky, but here's a situation with me. A friend and I were debating whether i could solo an orc at level 39 (with the help of pots and stones, of course), so i decided to try to solo it (took a long time, yes), and i got it down to 1/4 health, and a level 4X fighter came and started attacking it, then said "your too low of a level, you'll die for sure." I realized he was trying to help, but if he really wanted me not to get killed, he shoulda kicked ><.... anyway.... I told him i could solo one, he sat there and agrued with me, finally ended with "go ahead tough guy, show me how to die." I managed to solo one, not really that hard, like i said, pots and stones, and he decides to make the comment "well that took a long time" and ignore me. ***. I realize that soloing there at level 39 isn't really gonna do me much cause i kill so slow, but I was bored.

ah... u touched on my point ^^ -LEAVE PLAYERS ALONE...IT'S NOT YOUR CONCERN- if u're an experienced soloer, u wun like ppl using aoe attacks on mobs which are attacking u rite? =) exactly wad i meant.

hmm...this is actually quite tough. sometimes, all i did was to help them, who seem to me would not be able to handle by themselves alone. so, i decided to help. really not to KS, but sometimes, others would think i am KSing.

after some time as i gain much exp playing this game, if i see somebody in this kind of situation, i would stand there and observe while healing him (i m a cleric). if he/she says help, then i ll go and help.

i started my orc solo at lv 32 with t2 def vit and buffs :D so yeah a
lv 39 ought to be able to take about 2 orcs at once >:D
