My party and I were aoeing in Passage of Abyss, we found a nice spot, then we checked everywhere to see if someone took the spot yet. we saw no one, then other ppl come and tell us its their spot, so they kill us and spot claim. Saying volgaur language to us. This makes me think twice about buying sparkcash and makes me want to quit! I HATE ppl that dont respect others and expect to be respected. last time i left cause he was already there, but now he comes and ks , kills, and spot claim us!

In other areas that would be spot claiming.

however, within the abyss zones it's perfectly acceptable for other player to pk you for a spot. It's the risk you take when you enter them.

Also if you do have a legit report, do not post it in a thread. Send it through a pm to a GM.

All I see here is an argument over the spot. Not really any evidence that you were there before themor if they said any vulgar language although them attack you is present.

If you do have any screenies of those, pm them to a gm ^.^

It takes time for GMs to sort through all the pms and handle the problems.

You can report them for offensive language but killing you over a spot in the Abyss is perfectable acceptable.

Spot claiming is unfortunately not a rule. Anyone can move in on your "spot" and kill mobs. Now.. if they're taking mobs that you have touched, ie. lured with mock or ranged attacks, then it may be considered KSing.

If they were harassing you or threatening you, then it can be reported too.. if you have screeny proof.

What does Sparkcash have to do with fighting over a spot in PvP?

A thinly-veiled threat.

Depends which Gm, some don like training, others dont care.

Anywayz, this shouldnt beon the forums, Pm a gm you give those people a bad reputation and it might be your fault or they didnt do anything wrong.

There is no such thing as training in PVP maps! ANYTHING goes the gm's have made that clear, you should know that as common sense

anywhere where another player can kill u there is no rules :) (not talking about GW's)

First off, spot claiming is against the rules and banable. So you said you wenr to a spot to see if anyone "took the spot yet". This makes me think you also claim spots, :/ but thats not here so I wont continue on it

I believe using foul language in the game is against the rules as well, as the blocker is supposed to block it, but peopel oh-so-cleverly use spaces and numbers to get around it.

Warring someone or killing them to get them out of the area to claim it is against the rules *reads alot of 'rules' threads*

KSing is also a banable offense.

Get all their names :D And report them!!!!! Send it to a GM

First off he said they went to the spot to see fi anyone was there, thus leading me to believe if someone was there, then they would have moved on to another spot, not tried to claim it and kill them etc etc.

Warring someone to get them to move is indeed against the rules, but how is killing someone in the abyss against the rules? Point me to the thread.

KSing is unfortunate, but hardly a bannable offense in all cases. In some cases KSing is accidental. KSing is only bannable when it is malicious. If you have a thread that says otherwhise, please poitn me to it.

Spot claiming is against the rules. To me, that doesn't mean that you can report someone for spot claiming. You simply don't have to acknowledge their claim if you don't want to, and exercise your right to be there. However, the other group also has a right to be there. My interpretation of the spot claiming rule has always been: The GMs will not get involved over spot claiming disputes either way. This is for normal zones.

As for the Abyss? No rules are enforced there, because none are required! The players themselves enforce rules of conduct in the Abyss. Someone trying to claim your spot? Just kill them. Jerks KSing your mobs? Just kill them. Idiot pulling a train at you? Ice spell to slow them down, or fighter stun them, watch their own train kill them. They're whining about being killed? Inform them that if they leave your room, you'll stop killing them. Then, if they won't leave, just kill them again. Can't kill them? Invite some friends/guildies to join in the fun, and all of you just kill them. Don't want to fight them? Find another room, or just leave the Abyss. That's why there's an exp bonus - the threat of PvP.

The above sounds harsh, but in reality, most people aren't looking to fight in the Abyss. The threat of PvP keeps people honest. If some rogue jerk or jerks want to fight people, KS, or train, they'll quickly make enemies of practically everyone in the zone, and they'll get outnumbered and kicked out. People know this, so they don't pick fights. I've never had an Abyss group that actually had to fight for a spot. We've been ready to, though.

What does all this mean? I would not expect GM action on any of the issues the OP listed. Yes, it's unfortunate that he encountered some jerks; but that's the risk one takes when choosing to fight in the Abyss.
