An encounter i had today, with arguably the rudest i have met yet. Most people converse with me politely, and i do that in turn.

Guildie rainzfall is a quiet and helpful person in real life. Somehow or rather, his character has this same trait ingame =="
He thought this Nilyen is in trouble, so went to help him kill the mobs. lol, big mistake, any experienced players will know that.

Anyway, i just exit the portal from gc into cp, and heard the conversation. Trying to diffuse the situation, i made a lame joke. Nilyen responded with "stfu".
Alright.. i wonder what "stfu" means.

I commented that he's rude. Look at his answer -.-".
I decided to war him.

Well, war started, he ran and i followed. He logged off. I searched a long time for him. After a while, he whisper me in private message. Look at the content of the message -.-"

30 minutes left before the war ends. Nilyen PMed me to meet in elderine town. Look at the content of the conversation in the PMs.

Could've said "Please don't KS" O.o I mean seriously sometimes people do the same thing to me in the abyss when I'm being piled by 7-8 MOBs. I just click the pretty invincible button, tell them I'm fine, and if I need help I'll be sure to ask them. No need to get rude about it :S They're trying to be nice and help you out. Manners friend.

I do consider it KSing however. IF someone really thinks I need help, the proper thing to do would be to say "Need Help?". This is a friendly way to approach someone and I would of treated him with respect.

in this situation, guild war is the best solution. obviously, talking to him is like trying to talk to a monkey in the zoo. look at his messages, and tell me what you would do if you are me. I'm not as forgiving as you.

other solutions are of course, ks him back. train him wherever he goes. not so honorable, as innocent casualties will be inevitable.

nevertheless, good suggestions.

the guild did not follow u around for 10 to 15 minutes as you say.
You train us after the stfu comment and escape into gc, fine.

then u exited gc and came back to the spot. as u can see.. i never did move an inch at all. my guild mates were pretty pissed off with stfu comments. After you returned, we declared war. And u logged off for 15 to 20 min..

show me your screenshots, and we shall see what they say.

Anyway with Look and Nilyen's problem. Being rude can't be helped there are rude people no matter where you go. If Nilyen had KS you (Look), you should have taken a screeny and sent it to GM. Even if you only shouted that you would KS him and didn't actually act on it. Screenshots aren't the best way to show that and it makes you look more like the bad guy. KSing is worse then being rude.
Look, warring in order to coerce another person in to doing what you want, or revenge is against the rules and is a reportable offence. That probably wasn't the best choice of action but when you're angry you can do regrettable things.
Nilyen, the prank you pulled on Look was no better then what he did to you. The least you could have done to show maturity in the matter would have been to try and talk it over sensibly. Had you shown up to pvp him alone. That enough would have shown some form maturity. Since you could have said you have the problem and you guild members are not part of it. Win or Lose you can walk away knowing you were truly 'the bigger man'. Doing what you did however was simply childish and incites more hate.

Best thing to do now is to leave it be. Get on with whatever you were doing before and if either of you wrong the other again, take a screeny, send to GM, they'll deal with it.
