I was just wondering, do you have to lvl up just like the rest of us, or can just press a button and be lvl 70+ like that? What is your secret? :o

Oh, that's a very interesting question... wonder if Fiesta makes u lvl 150 when u becomre GM, ad also, u can have all the money u want...
Wonder too, whet kind of monsters do they kill to have some Exp... and i think we can't find those monsters on this version of the game, cuz is beta... so they don't train, they are just lvl 150.

Lol first time I see this question.
They have tools and commands. I dont know exactly how Outspark does it, but since I have experience with GM-status on R.O.S.E I'll explain it from my ROSE point of view.
In ROSE they just tyoe /levelup or /level 30 (which means +30lvls from the current level they are at) to level up. Or /item 432 1 9 100 0 100 to get an item in their inventory (item ID 432, 1x, +9 enhanced, 100 durability, 0 something (forgot), 100 something else)
Now I know Outspark has tools they probably use that instead of commands.
And no they dont have to levelup like other players.
They can also just change their class if they want D:

They are the gods of this world; the Apollos, the Gaeas, the Zeuses, even the Hades... it is their will which shapes our world and our fates. It is our pourpose, as their children, to bend to that will.

I don't understand. The GMs are not actual players (or if they are, they most likely have regular, non-GM characters). They don't grind, party up, or otherwise play the game (in their GM role) unless there is an event or some other similar unusual circumstance.
How can you be jealous of a non-player character? That is like being jealous of Smith James because he has all the weapons and armor, or merchant Nina because she has the fame-based skill scrolls.

GMs get paid to handle all the crap from players whining, some who whine that their boots won't fit because they don't realize it's a fighter's boots and they are a mage etc etc.
I think they should be allowed to have a little enjoyment in the game with super powered characters in return.
Oh and Dakkon used an archor skill on me since I wouldn't get close enough for him to use his fighter's skills.
And then when I was close enough he punched me for 64,500 damage.

A few powers that havn't been mentioned - 1) The GMs have the power to teleport themselves to any member, 2) The GMs have the power to teleport any member to them, 3) The GMs can spawn mobs at will (I know because I had SilkyPico spawn a group of Orcs around me, and then give me a giant buff).
Oh, and Eternal, he meant that the GMs arn't "players of the game", they're real people, but they don't get paid to play.

I'm sorry that you misunderstood me. I will try to be more clear as to the point I was trying to make.
As I understand it, GMs are employees that work on game related issues, provide content and monitor the game as a whole. They may play Fiesta, they may not. But I have never observed a GM "play" the game in the traditional sense. The people behind the pixels may very well play the game, but GM_Dakkon (the NPC run by that particular staff member) is unlikely the character they use to actually play, as an example.
Seriously, what fun would it be to play a character that had no fear, could kill with one hit, have any item they wanted, and otherwise have nothing to look forward to? Sounds like the definition of boring to me.
Oh, and Eternal, he meant that the GMs arn't "players of the game", they're real people, but they don't get paid to play.
Thank you, that is correct.

god is it worth having a GW with them as they are lvl 150 almost twice our lvl cap and can rev each other as a freakin fighter with mega uber def, eva, and block rate. it would be worth it if you killed one of them then you can brag about it until a GM teles you to them and torture you until you tell them how you killed one them for 5min. (btw sorry for contradicting in my post)
P.S: omg a punch for over anyone's hp could kill anyone wow chills if they could aoe the power

the gm gw isnt that hard as they aren'to uberly strong that the capped can;t take a hit from them, and also im GM GW's its every guild with whoever is online in that guild vs that gm, which is usually about 50-100+ peopl

I am starting to lose the point of this thread. If it is to ask what is a GMs purpose in the game, that has been answered. If it is can they make themselves any level the answer is yet. If it is why, it is because they are paid employees of OutSpark whose purpose, among other things, is to handle in-game issues.
If it is an issue of being fair, it is absolutely fair. No one is stopping you from becoming a GM too.
If this is a thread to complain about something, please make it clear. If not, I will close this thread.

IIRC, the gms have accounts like rest of us.
they log onto fiesta with the same launcher as we do. (if gms would like to chime in on this.)
its just that in the programming of fiesta, their accounts are assigned a GM modifier.
this gives them accesss to a GM console in game, like the console in just about any counter strike game. except its a menu of commands.
in this console is your usual GM powers such as:
teleporting people around
teleporting themselves around
summoning mounts
summoning mobs
create item
increase exp in map
increase drop rate in map
global shouts
teleporting people to jail
temp kick
perma-ban
(that's all i can think of off the top of my head, maybe there's some more?)
as far as exp and money goes, i think that programmers have made it that whenever the gms make a char on their account, it automatically have 100 gem, and lvl 150, with all the skills already purchased and all the stats maxed, so that they always do 64500 damage no matter what they do, be it with swords, magic burst, bash, punch, arrow, etc.
and one more thing, the GMs also have access to a web-based software that queries the server for stats such as how many people are in a area, and server load, uptime etc.
i hope i'm correct on at least some of this xD, any gm is more than welcome to clarify.
just a question, the GMs don't go to work at a predetermined place right? they just work from home/whereever convienent.

Yerp, it is an actual job. This is their job. They get paid to do this, and they have to put up with us whether they like it or not lol. Well... they don't have to, push their buttons and away to jail we go.
