I am sick of my mage dying so much. Is there anyways to prevent this? Also, I heard higher lvl skills suck (Example: Magic Blast, Fireball) because the CD are so long and you can out damage them using firebolt etc. I aom wondering, should I stick with my mage? (My mage is lvl 34)

Maybe you should buy some more pots and stones... my mage hardly ever dies..and when it does, its usually b/c I pulled too many mobs, lag, or the pots/stones were still cooling down.

Thats probaly b/c ur mage was below lvl 20 >.<

Try doing that with a lvl 4x mage and see if you can kill them before you get hit(Unless you have a +9 then you should be able to kill it before it reaches you).

Even with +9 mob still can't kill them before they reach me. As for the mage dying part, is part of being a mage, high mdmg with low hp/low def. If you tired of dying, you can do one out of my 3 options:
1. increase play skills, be extremely careful and use all scrolls, buff and gears to increase def and hp.
2. spend a lot of on CS items to get a set of +9 armors and charms
3. play another class: archer, fighter and cleric they all die less than mages.

Don't take on more than 1 monster at the time (maybe 2) unless you have a cleric who can keep you up to health if you lose hp by bunches.
Also, spam Magic Missile 1 every other skill (max CD and sp reduction).
Get armour with END
Kite if monster is real strong (meaning you hit, run, hit, run, hit) but try to watch out for other monsters you might run into kiting XD

mages do die alot, but heres some ideas
1 mages are superior damage dealers, as we gain more power we become even more so. in other words to avoid dying take on what you can and never try to go above that.
2 duo. triple, qaudurple, your chances of staying alive in a party.
3 send huge amounts on blood stone, sp stone, look for every chance to nicely ask a cleric to give you a buff, and always carry scrolls.
4. run back and keep hitting the monster, < this move tends to attract K.S'ers but you can do it well enough.
5. learn the fine art of enchanting armor, weapons and keep an eye out for already enchanted stuff. buy where you can.
6. beyond our fifty level we don't die as much go forward with the most brave heart you have and know that you will take forever to level but you can do it others have.

Use Vitality and Defense scrolls if you solo alot. If you go in parties you shouldn't die much and in that case, use mentality.

I got tier 3 vitality and defence scrolls plus an evasion scroll + cleric buff. I duo AOE with a cleric and reap the experience and drops.^^ That was the instant I turn level 30. Very fun.

To not die easily.....I used an evasion scroll tier 2. It really makes a big difference in using HP stones. It doesn't cost much, probably like 2s at most which is so worth it. This is in moonlight tomb. I do not know about goblin camp or collasped prizon, but I heard evasion doesn't help much.

it's probably been said already, but

1) You have to solo out monsters, don't try to take on more than one, even if they're really low level
2) kite like there's no tomorrow
3) Chain cast (start pressing for your next spell before the current one is done)
4) Get A LOT of pots/stones, and be ready to use them
5) Ask for buffs (with a 'please' of course :)), or buff yourself w/ scrolls
6) Enchant your weapon, it helps a lot
7) Get green weps/armor
8) Party with people (you don't necessarily need clerics, but if you do die they're nice to have)
9) If you really don't need to use a potion, and there's a nice spot on the grass where you can go into your house, do it and you'll save a lot of money and stones/pots (just pay attention, obviously, or you'll die)
