Hidden bittorrent client installation along with game

What's the deal with the hidden bittorent client that got installed along with the game?* Needless to say I removed it from my system because it started to queue stuff up off my hard drive.* Is it necessary at all?* I would rather have an in-game downloader that becomes active when the game is run that is configurable.* The BT client that was installed with the game almost caused my ISP to shut off my account because of how horribly it works.* It needs to be configurable if its going to be used (I've got special ports for BT clients), and it needs to be network friendly and not spam the network with useless garbase either.

It let me choose wther I wanted it installed or not, I chose not to.. doesn't run 8shrug* still files there though

Currently the DNA bittorrent app should not be asking to do anything at all, as Fiesta is not currently using it for any patching.


My understanding is that the only way it would activate and try to download some files would be if some other application on your system also uses it...do you have any other applications that you installed recently that might have this as part of their installed package?


Do you remember what it said it was trying to download?

The bittorrent is optional.. i didn't install it. Don't ever just click through an installation... read what it say..

kokuryu, you have to understand that while*it is a bit torrent that came packaged with the game, it's still just a regular bit torrent program. If you run a .torrent file it will open up as normal, so (suggestion)*something on your system is trying to torrent itself. If you have any configurable firewall just disallow access until*Outspark releases its first patches for Fiesta.*


The firewall I use, ZoneAlarm Pro (free, I think), lets me keep track of each and every executable that tries to access the Internet.
