1. what if the trading mushrooms were seperate from your character meaning u could open your shop and sell your items and*go out on quests or go gather more resources. would that help the ease of gameplay?* or hurt the economy...(ie...would there be too many shops open) perhaps have the shops on a timer and close once the timer hits zero maybe having your proceeds and leftover goods go automatically to your storehouse
2. Personally I think sitting there watching people walk by my shop is incredably boring.* Its no wonder that people open their shop then go afk in hopes that someone will buy their products while they are sleeping or getting something to eat.* I think my previous idea is a good one myself...but even if they dont go for it and we have to sit there and hope someone stops by our shop and buys something...I would like to see who visits my shop...and perhaps a chat area in the shop window where visiters can ask questions about your products...maybe even have more control over your prices so u can raise or lower your prices without closing shop and resetting the prices for everything

I totally agree, and I like your first idea.* Also maybe they can add a window that anywhere you are in the game, that it checks the status of your sales, While you are doing quests, training etc. NICE IDEA!

I can't go for the first idea why, well think on it how many people play this game and if every 1 of them opened a shop up while they went questing, the lag would be horrendous, just think on what it was like in town last Friday during the event*them make it*even worse.
The second*one well I will agree that the shop needs some work done*on it, like being able to fill a spot where the item has just been sold would be nice. As for the chat idea*you already have that it's called whisper.

thats why having the shops on a timer would be a great idea...that way you couldn't leave them open overnight and cause lag...further more I agree during events there is some serious lag...but if the GM's create monsters to destroy the shops or just disable them during the event then it would elminate at least some lag...
maybe even have a set amount of times u can open a shop in a 24 hour period and have that amount reset every day or something that would eliminate some lag as well.
Personally running through town through all the open shops already causes lag for me and i'm running a high end pc with a broadband connection.* So shops do need work we all can agree with that.* Perhaps instead of having all these open mushroom shops perhaps we could have a list of player shops from a NPC that players can go to instead of hunting down shops all over town.* That way the streets aren't cluttered with mushroom shops and it would be mad easier to shop for goods that players sell and can be accessible anytime.
btw i am well aware of how whispers work but if there is alot of people talking in town and u go grab a coke...afk maybe 2 mins u can miss a whisper easily...whispers need work as well...perhaps a flashing icon letting u know u have whispers...but thats basically where i was coming from with having a shop question area...so if u are afk it wont be missed

There could be a merchant that you buy for lots of silver coins or 1 gold coin and you can set it up in town while you go questing/killing. That way not too many shops will be set up around town.

Thats a good idea too except lower level people would have a hard time saving their money as they would be more or less limited to NPC prices.* However they could still sell their products through the private player trade option and to players who have already bought a merchant slot...but if it was lower than lets say the cost of a guild which is 300 silvers make it like 30 silvers or something that might work...and give newer players a chance to get to know the economy and how things work before they open up a shop

I like the idea as well, maybe if they can some how create slots for stores in a window pop up just like the fiesta stores that the have thereshouldn't be any problems with lag just with slots available which can be run with a timer along with a small fee to open a fiesta store while your able to gather more treasures.

empty shops on a timer is a good idea.. Adding it to where you can have a shop open anywhere is a very very very bad idea.. We already have way too many shrooms laying around town if you haven't noticed.
Though some people could put a ridiculous price on an item to stay open; at which point I think the GMs should imprison them (if it's blatant or they are repeat offenders)*
Putting together a combined market place would be good for some reasons, but bad for others. (allready gone over that many times in other threads).
If you find sitting and staring at your shop boring, then don't do it. I usually shop things when i'm afk.
I've heard people call that noob, but personally I think it is pretty stupid if you don't do just that.

You cant go afk when your in a shop because believe it or not there is a timeout timer, i did it once and returned to find that i had disconnected from the server, but i disaggree with most of them ideas

um.. I do it all night.. and at work.. almost every day.. occasionally I get kicked out, but usually not.
If you get booted it's cause someone did it, or you just lost connection.

Afk is no good. Thats why we have so many player shops in town. There should be some kind of time limit in one area so people cant just leave it all day. It crowds the town and half the shops are empty. People get tired of searching through the same empty shops all day. Besides,* they might be sitting in a good spot and someone else needs a good spot but they are all taken by people that arn't even playing. They are sleeping or working..
*A 2 or 3 hour shop would be fair.

some of us have lives and will not spend our time online with our shops open.
Afk is fine, it is the way it has to be for people to function. The problem is empty afkers, if your shop is empty and your afk after like 30 seconds the app should auto logout and quit.
If you want a timed shop you can set one up

I still think a auction house would be better and would cut down lag from all the vendors. You could have one in each town and link them all so they dont get over crowed .

i agree something needs to be done about this. and i agree with the creation of an auction house it would ease things up.
