Hey guys!

Be careful when someone says something like, "Selling _____, best offer in five minutes wins!" or something like that. If you've ever tried selling something that way, you know you don't actually get that many offers...if any. Many times the person is going to make up other offers to drive the price up. Veki666 in Epith server was doing this today, and then decided not to sell it when I wouldn't meet the "new high price" even though he said best offer would take the item. Most likely I called his bluff.
A real easy fix to this is to tell the person, or even better shout this out, that everyone interested in the item should gather at a certain place to bid outloud instead of through whisper. This will ensure that everyone is being honest. Of course, they could have a ringer helping them, but at least it helps a little bit. Cheers!

Godspeed,

Good eye on that. If I may also add to the list of warning to folks. Check the vendors items before you purchase or sell to them. I say this because I have seen a serious increase in scammers advertising a price and setting it to something that will only benefit themselves.

Example 1: Buying Dim Soul Dusts for 95c per!

End Result: Buyer sets out numerous slots of the item and sets them to buy at 1c per.

Example 2: Buying Elderine Scrolls, 1s per!!

End Result: Buyer sets out a stack of 4 Elderine scrolls to purchase at 250c per scroll for a total of 1s.

I will remind folks that these examples above are jailable and bannable offenses if found doing and repeating such scams. Ultimately it is a personal buyer/seller beware when attempting to interact with these merchants but that is still no excuse for exploiting human weakness. :P

Yeah =/ I've never trusted whisper "Auctions". The other day, I don't know if it was a joke, or if they were honestly trying to do this, but someone said they were selling a beauty shop coupon.

Any false advertisements are scams.
