i havent played the game yet but can u create ur own character w/out having to use game money for cloths?

i always thought it would be cewl for a game were u can customize ur own character without having to use all uur hard earned gold on stuff like cloths. instead u would just use it for stuff u need like medicinal herbs or potions or whatever u use here...
