lvl 20 wiz mage??

hi im a bit confused..just got lvl 20 yesterday and under title registration i got wiz mage now the question is this..i bought staff in elderin for 5 silver for lvl 20 wiz mage or higher yet i cant equip weapon.a bit confused on why i cant use it plz help me understand if you could thx..

You have to do the Shadow dugeon quest, go talk to the skill scroll seller for mage, she will give you the quest.

Try Ratman, got mine on 5th kill, and spam all your freaking stones/potions in that cursed dugeon -.- I wasted 10s cuz I was reckless in that damned dugeon.

All i can say is good luck cause i can tell you presonally wiz mage is the hardest to get so dont hold back! better to use lots of crystals the first time then some every ten times

I found that after you get through the initial fights of the shadow area, and walk into the room that has the first part of the blue line, that if you walk straight ahead - in the dark - that the two harder mobs to kill (the archer and the sword guy) are there. I killed them first in that dark room, 1 on 1, then followed the blue line, went in and immediately killed the stone golem on the rear right. From there I concentrated on my clone until the next golem came out, then I killed it quickly (clone's HP was down to 2k at this point) fought the clone more until it's HP was down to 1k then there is another golem that came out - aced him (4 hit kills for the golems) and then I finished off my clone for "SUCCESS!".

Be systematic about it, take your time (20 minutes is actually QUITE enough). Kite where necessary (as the norm, never ever never never! rush as a mage) and make your stones count. I went in with 50 hp pots, 50 mp pots and full stones as a lvl 20 with no advanced armor and did just fine.

Granted, I had to repeat the whole stinkin quest 4 times cuz I'd get lag spikes fighting the clone (my fault, I hadn't rebooted in 3 weeks and my memory management was rather hosed).

This quest is rather important for you, so don't try to force it. Just make it happen on your terms and you'll succeed quite easily.

Before you go into the dungeon TAKE OFF ALL YOUR GEAR!
Clone spawn with what you have on. you will be amazed (if you have previously failed) how much easier it is.
Remember clone spawns twice. so before each... OFF WITH THE GEAR! :D

Just did mine today and did it the first try. Used Vit/Def/Atk/SP(don't matter much) scrolls. The Vit scroll helped the most since i'm 1:1 int:spr @ 500 or so hp after scroll. The clone's magic atk hit me for around 150 and meleed for 55. Tactic was to run around the wall and spam my spells. Once a golem came, focus fire on it and go back on clone. Also, the frequency of the magic atk was about 7-10 sec or so. So you have time to drink pots and wait for its cooldown. Quite easy... was left with 9 mins when i finished. Good luck.

I died 3 times... dont have enough to buy any more pots. Kinda hard for a lvl 20... Maybe its cause my stats are messed i should make antoher char.

yeah, i totally agree. I got a kind cleric to buff me and i also added a vitality scroll for extra protectiveness :D
I also used up all the scrolls that i saved from quests:)

just use magic defence scroll and a shield scroll and it should be easy enough

its the easiest just get a good hp buff :) i have a lvl 10 cleric alt that makes scrolls so whenever im doing something that i think is tough i send some scrolls to my mage ^^

Seriously, I never played a game like this before I started playing Fiesta, I've played through the shadow quest at least a dozen times using all different classes (and before I knew what to expect and what I ought to do before-hand), and I have NEVER failed it. I don't know why some folks find it hard to complete.

It's different for every person, just give tips. Who cares if you never failed? It's not like that's gonna help new people.

Just try to get max hp and sp buff (ask around for lvl 47 cleric). Equip yourself with some good tier 1 scrolls, and off you go :D. i personally think the archer shadow dungeon is by far the hardest. Just because the mage shadow barely does damage, just those dam kebings and stuff. Mage shadow just uses her staff and every 5 hits, she uses a magic blast thing. Its not THAT hard. Good luck though.

this is a sort of irrelevant comment,
if it makes anybody feel better, the first time I did class change (with cleric) didnt look at what the shadow was saying and didnt know were to go so I had to suicide and look up instructions on fiesta wiki XD

Its hardest with a mage and it can take a few tries, use t2 vitality, defence, aim and (evasion if youcan get one.) t2 pots and a cleric buff :)

It's not Wistis that gives the class change quest. It's Gaurd Shustain (or something.) Talk to him twice then find the guy in the Forest that's by the lake. Does that help? =D

I never had to kite at all.....My main is a mage and I wasn't scrolled, I did use the whole take the items off and on trick but besides that. I just spammed all my spells on the clone and it died. used pot and stone and did it on my first try....

1st off, the "take your gears off" trick now give little to no results, your clone have preset stats and skills, that he will use no mater what. All you'll gain is recieving extra damage while you're re-equiping your gears, plus you'll probably won't be paying attention to your HPs while doing so, wich can be lethal.

2nd; as mage, you'll want to have as much defensive tools as you can, AKA vitality, defense, magic defense, evasion scrolls, T1 are ok, T2 are wonderfull (if you can afford). Aim is useless, you'll hit everything without troubles, even with NPC gears.

3rd: when fighting your clone, after taking down the swordman guy and the golem, exit the room and return deep in the previous corridor, this way additional golems won't reach you anymore, just focus on the clone.

4th: Always keep an eye on your HP and use stones and potions accordingly. You should know what skills combo to use by heart, and execute it without thinking too much bout it.

I just killed all the golems, archers, and fighters in the last room of shadow dungeon. Once they were done the clone wasn't that bad. The quest wasnt that bad for me i never had to find the key i just talked to who he told me to talk to and the guy in FOM let me into the Shadow Dungeon.
