Well they moved Raina over to the marketplace. I wonder what the reasoning behind this was. I really liked having the storage keeper right next to the item shop, it made things more convenient. I know it's not the end of the world, but it's interfering with my laziness. lol :D

Puts more people in the marketplace area. That way shops would be in the marketplace area, where they should be.

Probably to get more people into the market place, since a lot of people use the Storage, they have to go through the shops to get there ^^

Its all balancing. I personally do not like having to click around the shrooms when passing through Roumen. The shrooms also add lag. So basically its clears the area and lag for the passing through traffic. I like it personally, but I had suggested that to SKiNG ^^;; looks like they were a step ahead of my thoughts.

I love the new set up and spawn point, i think the market will become very popular if people are forced to use it. Now if we could just clear the area in front of the stairs.
I was also thinking that the empty space across the street from the smith should be opened up for stone sellers. Having to walk so far to find more stones has got to make the enhancement a much longer process for the lower level players. Doesn't really affect me anymore, but once upon a time it would have irritated me to no end.

If you look though, peopel arent IN the marketplace.
Theyre on the docking between it and Roumen. They SHOULD have put the NPCs way out at that triagled end, but they ddint.
Another bad reason for moving the NPCs, is that they are in fact.. REDUCING the amount of vend space in the Marketplace. Thus, they are telling peopel "you cannot vend here, go vend in the town".
But they made the marketplace as a place for peoepl to vendor.. so they wouldnt vendor in the town...
I still support my idea of just leaving the NPCs as they were, and banning vending for the top level of Roumen ^_^ That would FORCE peopel to vend in the marketplace.

Well that is pretty serious.
Laziness could be considered a disability.
They should definitely make special accommodation for lazy people.
Maybe there should be two storage keepers?
:D

Yeah I figured it would probably be something like that.

That's a very good point. They want people to vend there, but making it harder for people to actually do so since theres a clearance area around all NPCs that you can't vend in.
I honestly don't think all people should vend in that one area though, then that one spot would get unbearable lag and it would be harder to see what each store is selling and possibly have trouble clicking on the store you want.

ROFL! Man I wish there were real life accommodations for lazy people. :D

But my idea is jsut ban the top floor of Roumen.
Besides, it would only have as much lag as the most cramped areas of roumen (smith) which were still bearable. If the only bann the top floor, poepel would have that big area down by Roumulus and the marketplace. Thus: fixes it.

I noticed that they added changed the dead spawn point to the new market place as well. They fact that they moved the storage keeper annoys me to no end since I'm too lazy to go all they why down there, but I'm glad that roumen is relatively less laggy now.

Ahahah its not less-laggy at all to me. Only now instead of being able to spawn, hide people, and go to the bank, I not have to spawn, trudge to storage, hide.. fight.. forget coming in from SOG from ELDy anymore.. Ill lag far before i get to storage.

They could allow shrooms in the top area.

*sigh* now my hiding place in Rumen is gone...I was enjoying having the entire marketplace to myself (or sharing with the 3 other people that sometimes wander in) to use alchemy or chat without having to listen to "noob-off"s (this is where 2 people try to call each other "noob" in as many ways as they can think of as fast as they can type)....though I have to wonder...what is with the dead sharks? The first one was odd enough...now they've killed and strung up a second one....

LOL... I have no idea... But then again, maybe the NPCs ran out of things to eat. Before, they were eating player money, but now that there's a market place and so, less newibes would NPC their stuff, they'll have to settle on dead sharks.
Where was your secret hiding place?

That's scary... I prefer my theory... >.>

Bzzzzt "This is Terakashi reporting live from the commercial area of Roumen. Now as you can see behind me." Flourishes her hands so your attention is drawn to a huge dragon devouring several mushroom homes. "A rather larger dragon has been patroling the upper area of Roumen and devouring any mushroom house it sees. Now we figured that this would only last for about 10 minutes when we first arrived upon the scene but this is day 20 of what can only be known as the lowbie slaughterfest. It apparently seems that many have a low learning curve and have been attempting to return to this area to set up their shops."
"Now if I direct your attention to the side here." Terakashi moves over to the left and the camera swivels to reveal a large number of higher level players sitting down and devouring popcorn and pork chops. 'As I'm aware you can see there are many high level players sitting up camp here to watch this rather amusing show. When I interviewed one of them why they were so attracted to this spot he answered 'It's kind of like when you come upon a car wreck. I mean you don't want to see it, but you also have this sick fantasy of seeing a little bit of blood and so you can look away from the scene.'"
"When one of the GM were asked why they allow this Dragon problem to continue to ravange the lowbies he replied 'What problem?' and then promptly went about torturing young female players with his male thong. Stay tune for any update we may have concerning the topic on hand. In the meantime the camera will be set to reveal the slaughter. This is Terakashi reporting from the Apoline News."
