Healing in MD

Tonight I had one of my least favorite MD kqs, not worst because it was a winning kq.

I'm a tank, I can survive every hit MD throws at me, I am even okay with using as many stones and pots as it takes. But tonight no one would heal me. I mentioned something about it when we first started killing MD, and then stopped fighting when I got no heals. Then I go afk to use the restroom, for MD always seems to come at a time when I need the little girl's room. When I get back, I start to fight again, but no one heals me!

I was fine with that, and I told everyone I would just sit back because I'm not blowing all my stones and pots on killing MD with no help. Some of the clerics said it was the cleric in my party that should be healing me, but she had clank fever. So then I pointed out you could heal people who were not in your party, but still no help.

And then everyone starts getting mad at me! I just don't understand why, but I held my ground. The other tank got really mad, but of course he was getting heals, so he had nothing to be mad at himself. I am just wondering, does this seem to be a problem with other people? Or am I just hated?

The experience has made me bitter to this kq.

O.o odd. As far as I'm concerned if you have a Tank keeping aggro from a boss, and keeping everybody in that kq alive, you should be doing what you can to heal that Tank. Now I can understand if people in their party are being aggro'd by spawns and such, then yes their focus should be on their party. But if it's just a tank or two attacking MD, keeping the aggro, while the DD's provide their backup damage, then I don't see any reason why the Clerics should sit around twiddling their thumbs and not heal the tank.

Even when I do spider, I'm usually very busy healing my party, especially if one of them is the tank. But if I'm in a party that's not really taking much aggro, and the tank is elsewhere, I will toss a few heals their way.

Some people can't seem to understand that Kq's are a team effort. It doesn't matter who's in a party with you and who's not. You're all in it together, and all of the parties must work together for it to work. Just because the main tank isn't in your party doesn't mean you shouldn't heal them.

Kq's seem to be going downhill lately due to people who don't know how to cooperate. When I first started the game, and in every kq that I have ever joined since then, I've always had people shouting "Heal the tank."

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience. Not all of us Clerics are like this. Just the new generation ><

This is completely off topic from this post. Next time please refrain from doing this on other peoples threads. Either create a new one, or PM a GM/CSR or a CL with your question.

When you are in game, press Esc until your Options comes up. Click on Game Options, and Click Reset Interface, then Apply.

And it's much easier to get a hold of a GM through a PM on the forums.
