...How come only CLs can change their forum pic?

I beleive it is a feature which isn't full implemented yet. OutSpark admin and (now) CLs can - possible as a perk, but I am not certain. I do believe it is something they want to make available toeveryone in due time, however.

I hope so. o.o I want to have a personalized avvie that matches my siggy like most forums let you. :P Though like my siggy I will probably take like months to make an avvie. XD

The feature to change your avatar is already in the forum software, but they deactivated for some reason. A reason we all don't know, my guess is for serverload, but i'm not sure ^^;;;

my guess is to stop people using over sized avatars to scretch the forums even more than the huge signatures that are already stretching them. (although this can be limited)

that and some may use animated gifs which will just add to unecessary downloads for users.

i quite like the ones they provided, however, it would be nice that they fix it up for the new colour theme of the forum, the grey bg doesn't quite work..

By having a set avvie and siggy size you can pretty much stop large avvie and siggy sizes almost all the way. And actually .jpg is a larger file then a .gif file. :o And not many people on this forum use animated signatures and an animated avvie that is 100x100 takes up little space. ._. Not that I'm complaining or anything I guess I just like a chance to customize stuff. XD

yes you're right, the avatars can be limited (as I said also), but animated gifs of small sizes CAN get to 1mb, I've seen many. I made asmodejjj's avatar, and it isn't that big in size(400x150), not even that graphic intense, but it does have about 30 frames (500kb). yes 1 jpeg is bigger than 1 gif, but 30 gifs will definitely be bigger than 1 jpg.

i do want this feature put in, but I have experienced in the past, some forum lag due to people using 100 frame gif animations of scenes from their favourite movie/anime/youtube video/etc. so I guess I'm saying that this COULD be a reason for that.

I actually prefer avatar images over signatures, in fact I made myself an avatar image, then realised I couldn't use it on Fiesta. So sad.

Nah, avatar size limit is easily set. Default is 100x100

That could be a posible reason as well. All the flashy avatar colors will make the colors of the staff usernames hard to read. they wont "pop up"

Lol, i dont think so i mean...There a big green label on top of ur picture that has ur name, i mean...its green lol, and even then under that it says community leader...ud have to be pretty retarted not to see that...
