just curious. i figure discs arent the all out fighters so chain block shouldnt be stronger than either circle trap or wild swing. RIGHT?

so, for those who have it, How good is it?

EDIT: chain block Vs reticle trap, opinions?

Its not because.. you can get interrupted all the time, instead of CT or WS they are instant no cast time(no interruptions within using them). it deals similar damage most cases less.

If it did more damage than Circle Trap or Wild Swing, itll be pretty overpowered since it reduces the damage taken from the monsters. But IMO, its pretty good for saving your life and for other people if you get mobbed haha..

I like it pretty much

It saves me a lot of time and it save my bacon a lot of times. that coupled with Saint Rising sure gives you time to refill your HP and MP during an attack :D

And people just stand back in Awe when I AoE :D

I've done duo with Disciple and knights.

Chain block does much less damage, and it takes a lot longer to kilmobs than circle trap and wild swing. dead lock seems comparable to circle trap, but you get it much later(and costs 35 manna while circle trap is 25).

it is what you'd expect, as disciples are not as good fighters as knights/rogues, but have assist heal. you're not quite a fighter, not quiteahealer, but something in between. Best of both worlds, or jack of all traits.

Less xened armor in one way for CB.

"Jack-of-all-trades", btw. :3

Better than Circle Trap, not quite Wild Swing.
It costs half the MP of Circle Trap and makes up for the 2-4 defense you just don't quite have to AoE that next area. Yes the damage is less than Wild Swing, but it's an AoE nonetheless. Circle Trap is just a hazard for the Rogue since they don't have a lot of defense. Maybe I'm biased on that though since I made a Neophyte to go Scout and I'm dreading every second of the crappy armor and taking lots of damage =_=

Anyway in a bad situation you can cast Saint Rising, then use Chain Block to save your party and be really awesome like that XD
