View Full Version : *sigh* I'm afraid I'm not leaving...

... So you're all just going to have to put up with it. lols.

I think we need settle a bit. I like the suggestions that people, instead of posting a 'I'm leaving NAO cos this game both sucks and blows' thread, should just go to their friends in-game, say their goodbye's, and be done with it.

If you then decide to come back because face it, you have an addiction and the first step is admitting it, then that is way cool and all of your real friends who care about you dearly will welcome you back with open virtual arms.

Let's stop giving the impression that Apoline is falling apart, because that is very far from the truth. It's just evolving into something new, with new faces (well, kinda not really...) and new personalities.

If people felt that their goal was to grind their dear little hearts out and cap, well then good for them. You reached your goal, be happy that you did. But coming back and saying it's all a bit dull now? idk, I don't buy it. Because on your journey you would have met many wonderful people, who more than make up for those few who like to cause trouble, and you should feel content that you can now take it easy and be care-free since you can fully concentrate on building important friendships, and indeed relationships.

The 'old' Apoline is very much present in today's Apoline.

"...it has already begun." Name that quote and I give you virtual huggles.

You can't stop progress, and you can't stop more people from jumping on the Fiesta band-wagon. If you feel it is slowly dying a horrible painful death, then bloody well do something about it! Talk to more people, engage with newbies a little more, make a different character and begin your journey all over again with new people!

Sorry, this turned into a wonderful little tl;dr rant, but I'm just over the whole negative, depressive attitude people are growing, and I just want to put it out there that this is an ever-changing, ever-evolving game with the high possibility that you can make long-lasting new friendships with people other than those at the higher levels. If that means you start again, so be it. Don't loose sight of an important aspect to this game, and that is being part of the community. If someone is getting you down, talk to them about it. If someone is annoying you, block them or if the abuse is extreme, well I dont have to tell you what to do. If real life is getting in the way, then by all means take a break and deal with it... then come back. :)

Oh, and if you have a horrible relationship break-down, best to take a break and come back with a fresh mind. It may only take a few days, but it's worth it - don't put your emotional, mental or physical health at risk because this game simply isnt worth it.

Okay. Discuss? Flames? Agree? Disagree?

Mortal Kombat. :p Gimme huggles!!! :D

As I said in my other post,

............I have to say that I disagree that the goodness is gone. Just because we were not there to begin with does not make us lesser people. Do not generalise us please.

No offence but perhaps if the 'older' players of Apoline cling less to their 'old Apoline' and embrace the new Apoline that is basically a growing community with new players, both good and bad, rather than remaining in their cliques, you may find that the new Apoline isn't that bad after all.

omg Lenore.

tbh, I kinda skimmed what you said (as you yourself said dear, tl;dr xD), but I got the gist and as such will launch into a reply without thinking! YAY!

Since I've only been playing Fiesta since February, I guess I don't count as one of the 'old school' (harhar) but personally, I haven't seen much of a change in Apoline :/
Sure, there's noobs and spammers and beggars everywhere, but sensible people will just ignore them or tell them flat-out to go away xD I myself do all I can to help the noobs, because how can they stop being noobs if no-one helps them do it?

Anyway.
Your point about the community is SO what I've been thinkin lately. I mean, I wouldn't leave Fiesta for all the world because I've made so many amazing friends (and of course a very special man ... xP). Even if I hit cap - *coughunlikelycough* - I'll stick around just to spend time with my friends.

So there. I've put in my opinion. People, if you're leaving, don't turn it into an attention-seeking cry to the world. Tell your friends and make a diginified exit, or better yet stay and try to make a difference.
POWER TO THE PEOPLE! =D

i agree, it seems as if though making a "i'm leaving this game" thread is the cool thing to do now. i'd even go as far as to say those who do make them are just looking for a pity party

Oh dear. I think my sarcasm was lost a bit in translation.

My subject/first sentance was in reference to the squillions of 'im leaving' threads on here. I most certainly am not leaving, I just wanted to draw attention to the fact that all these players are saying 'well, I'm off to greener pastures now, cya" as their subjects or in the body of their posts. -_-;

This is all just a bit ridiculous. Which was the point to this thread. I was aiming for positive discusion on the subject, as the other thread is very negative and as someone just said, has the ability to burst into flames at any moment now.

I wanted people to talk about their good experiences, what they like about it now, what's changed for you that makes you happy?

I still think it's all a matter of perspective - I've been playing for 2-8 or more hours pretty much every day since I first logged on, and I personally see no difference. Just a whole bunch of hoo-haa in these forums putting crap on Apoline and it's current inhabitants. Just irks me, and I wanted something more positive to come about.

Ummm... go team! woo!

lols. Ya I know! I made it like that! I made one of Kaboom too, and it's a spitting image of him! :D Can't remember what I did, but I do know it took awhile trawling through all the character options. :)

Actually, I would love to know your thoughts on the subject of Apoline self destructing? You got me into this game grrl, what do you think it's like now? :)

^^ Off topic here, but I just saw a MEIU! Haven't seen her on the forums yet... so I just had to say it...

Anyways. I jsut kinda wish that if the CL or GM's saw a thread that says "I'M QUITTING!" that they'd just merge it witht he others...

Tch...

Anyways... annyone else notice that the Apoline board is getting sticky cluttered again?

And on the subject of yoru very special man Meiu, ishies has one too!

(=^.^=)

We just can't decide on the date... bleaugh...
