Hey guys ok well heres my problem:

About 4 - 5 days ago i downloaded and played fiesta at my cousins house in seattle perfectly and it ran like a dream.* When i got back to canada, i started fiesta up again and it worked perfectly. So the location isnt the problem.* But i formatted my computer yesterday, and now when i load up fiesta, its so choppy its not funny.* I thought it would be my graphics card, so i uninstalld it, restarted, reinstalled it again, and then i reinstalled fiesta as well, JUST IN CASE.* but as you can guess its still rigged.* Ok here are my specs:

My computer

OS: Microsoft Windows Xp Pro

System Manufacturer: Dell corporation

System Model: Latitude D600

Processer: Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor 1600MHz, ~1.6GHz

Memory: 1024MB RAM

DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)*

My Graphics Card

Name: MOBILITY RADEON 9000

Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.

Chip Type: ATI MOBILITY/RADEON 9000 AGP (0x4C66)

DAC Type: Internal DAC(400MHz)

Approx. Total Memory: 32.0 MB

Current Display Mode: 1400 x 1500 (32bit) (60Hz)

So yeah if anyone has any suggestions on what i should do. i would be very greatfull,

Thanks in advance,

Sykotic*

it was a bit server-side laggy over the weekend

being that you formatted, you may want to adjust your paging file.

and (oddly enough) defrag.. With all the new installs you probably did getting your computer back up, stuff is probably scattered everywhere.

You are doing the right things so far, so the question is of course "what is different" between pre-fromat and post-format.

You have probably done so, but make sure you update Windows with SP2, and also double-check on your laptop manufacturer's web site for the latest Radeon Mobility driver software...I _think_ you did this, but if you installed the drivers that came with the laptop for the Radeon Mobility, just check and see if there is a later version.

*nod nod* *slaps forehead*

not sure why drivers didn't cross my mind.. it's surprising what will happen if a vid card isn't setup right sometimes.

*In the same direction as that, make sure you have the proper DirectX as well, your prob alright; but i'm not sure if fiesta is packaged with it or not.

ive got all you have said, and i think i know the problem. but ive tried every single combination possible, and each makes fiesta play in a diffrent way. for example on optimal quality it will load like a dream and ingame is insanely choppy, but on optimal performance, its so frigging choppy in the beginnign i cant even connect to the server lol. so yeah take a look at this and see if u can help out

so yeah if u can make any sense of it, if u cant ill put in a few pointers, but yeah

thanks in advance,

I'm not a computer expert but maybe the old way of banging the computer might work.*(F.Y.I. I'm serious)

I am having the same problem. I get major lag on the server selection screen. The game is unplayable. Has anyone heard of others having these problems? I have the lastest drivers from ATI but that didn't help either.
