ok, in all the other mmo's ive played you can sell items to the npc's. How do i do that or can i even do that in this game? i notice that when talking to the item merchant all my items have an amount listed when i hover over them but im not sure how to sell.

Right click on them to sell them 1 by 1, or press shift + right click and you can sell them in bulk.

Right click items to sell them.
Control + right click to sell the entire stack.
Shift + right click to sell a certain amount.
