Im done. Unless they change the way weapon inhancement works or change the difficulty, I wont be back. I just broke my level 20 sword for the 6th time. You ask why we keep trying to upgrade. Well, maybe its because the game gets so hard after level 20. We are just trying To play. I cant get anywhere in burning hill. After every*couple of fights*I have to use a couple of potion. We have*3, 4 and sometimes 5 or 6 monsters attack us at once.*That either calls for the use of 6 potions, a house, or death.We do not*pick up*enough materials to keep up. And we cant buy anymore because people are using them or they are sold out.*And as you raise levels you dont get many material ( or sometimes no materials) from lower level creatures. This is becoming a PARTY ONLY game. Now, I have no money and no sword. Im gone for now. I will be back to see if things have changed when the real game starts. If it hasn't, I will be deleting my account.


PS...Blessed elures and lix's dont work. I lost my last three items using them. So even buying them is a waist of money

I feel your pain. You need to understand that since this is still a closed beta they are looking for this kind of feedback, but in a much more constructive way.

So far i'm doing well, +5 level 20 armor, and +4 level 20 bow. Have 46s and level 25. I don't upgrade, it's just a waste of money, just keep looking around shops for a + weapon, they're pretty cheap.

Yeah, I was mad, but it's no big since the game isn't final. Plus, GMs have get rich events everyday.

Weapons break, that is how it is made to happen. The upgrading system here seems far more forgiving than the one in a previous game I played.


In Knight Online, you had to get an entire inventory full of the item, then purchase ~200 upgrade scrolls, and depending on grade could cost you tens of millions. Out of the ~30 items you upgrade, maybe one will hit +7, forget about 9.





They make upgrading in games complicated because it fuels the economy, adds longevitiy to a game, creates hard to reach goals for experienced players, and provides a fair amount of confidence to a new player only upgrading once or twice.

Simplest thing to do to get money for a new weapon (other than begging) is make a new char and then after you get enough cash, buy it and put it in the Warehouse to xfer to the other char.


That's how I get all my mats to make scrolls and potions.... from other characters and just have the one make them

A) Follow ACCIIrider's advice and make a new character. It's REALLY EASY to do, just make any character you feel comfortable with and stick to it.



B) Or you can do something really complicated, stay up for 12 hours and kill on weaker monsters that at least drop items.

No your not screwed with your character. They will be whipped by the end of the month most likely (unless it enters another closed beta phase).


Weapon breakage sucks. The advice best used is what was already mentioned. Don't gambling on something if you aren't able to take the loss of it. That's the best advice given about it so far.


If everyone was able to power level their weapons/shields and whatever else so easily, it would corrupt the market value of everything in general.


Kind of like how they're whipping out existing characters, except names. Why? Because everyone has so much stuff that was dumped on them, literally, during the treasure chests forever events.


Once, having pets was a limited drop thing, now everyone and their mom has one because they're so overpopulated in here. 10s+ item goes to 3s+ overnight :P

On the last day of CB2, I figured I had nothing left to lose, so I sold all my stuff, and then proceeded to break four blessed hammers in a row, by trying to enchant them.





To all of you who actually do well enchanting, you are trully lucky, and skillful enchanters lol.

Yeah, it's a given. I don't like the system, blah blah. But I'm not
here to rant on it again. Just want to let the OP know others feel his
pain and just let it go for a bit. Just don't enchant the same weapon
all the time. Enchant one to +1. Use it until you get another to try
again. Then take that one and try to get it to +2, then use that. Then
work on the +1 again, if you get it to +3, repeat. If you blow it, you
still have the +2 until you can save up the money to try again. I've
learned enhancing has to be done in steps, but that's my opinion. It'll
save you from blowing your money so fast as I have are multiple
occassions. Just relax. You'll get decent stuff in the long run.

I'm sure at some point the enchantment process with undergo some significant changes, and hopefully for the better. But it may be a while before that happens.





In the mean time, the only way I would do it is if I had enough money to buy a new weapon, just in case the old one broke. Which in my case, I'm 0 for 5 while I played. lol


Who needs gamblers annonymous, just try and enchant your weapon a few times. lol
