Can't do stuff in GAME

I get into to my game and i cannot rest in my mushroom. i've had to use a bunch of potions because of that . Also i used to*bring up the house menu, set up a shop. then close down the shop and then if i hit rest i could then rest.*A few times i couldn"t get out of my house. I would have to quit my game and bring it back up. *After i move my character i can't buy from stores. what i have to do is get next to the shop.Again*quit the game, bring the game back up. Then click on the shop and buy the item i want.*I have missed out on a lot of great deals because of this. Is anyone else having this problemS ?
