I think that anyone who is revived by a Cleric after being killed should recover at least 25% of their lost Exp immediately, and maybe even more.

aww.... but then we won't have to work as hard T.T

I don't think this is a good idea for the sole reason that dying in itself is already kindof low punished. In lots of RPG's you lose (nearly) all items on you, or a lvl or whatever. It is just 1% you know. And think of the high demands of clerics! THey are already getting spammed for revive requests, if you would add this people will get more angry if a cleric doesn't revive (on time). They'd just get running around reviving people or cussed at real bad...

In my own opinion this would be a good idea, but only at higher levels. This being because by then everyone can be respective of each other and clerics know how to work as a team alot more ;)
Though 25% maybe be over the top but 10% or less may be right that way no spamming of clerics. But to me a good idea none the less. Level for exp recover ~lvl 60

I completely agree with Nenova. I used to play Runescape (don't hate me) and the reason I stopped was because I died with my best items in my inventory, causing me to lose what I had worked for weeks for. Death in Fiesta is like a little tap compared to that.

Well, there has to be some penalty for dying. If not, well there would be no real challenge here. HOwever, I think you should have the option of either warping to town or to the gate you used to enter an area...y'know, to cut down on travel time and such.

What for? Even at high levels, it's easy to regain the lost experience...

All I can say is: Think of the Clerics! Do you really need to add on to the stress of them having spammed with buff demands? 1% of your experience is a whole lot better than 10%+ that I have lost in other games when dying. It'll also keep lowbies from attempting to tackle monsters too hard for them.

Lyth Travel time can be cut down if you charge Spark Cash of course.

Not something everyone has access to, which raises another debate altogether.
It doesn't bother me, but I have seen many other people complaining about it.

Lyth I understand, however, that is how the business supports itself.

I don't think it's a good idea either, like many people mentioned it, the death penalty is already minimal.
Plus (and people also mentionned it) clerics suffer enough pain from buff / rev spam and misstimed heal (it happen, even to the best).

Clerics do not have to respond to harassment, although I understand...

I know, I know. I never said anything about it being bad or anything; just that it is prone to evoking debates of 'equal opportunity' and 'fairness'.

In FlyFF you lose 3% exp. In Fiesta only 1%.... In a lot of games you can even level down, in Fiesta you cant =.=

I was talking to my friend the other day...
He said he noticed now that when you are revived by a cleric, your hp and sp are at max.
Before it used to be you revived with whatever little you had. Now you get a max.
This said, theyve already made revive better.
I think though, they should have made this an expansion. Mages get LifeTap at lv 20, and lifetap gets another upgrade. Make rev get an upgrade.
1-20 cant revive
20-50 revive, but 50% hp/sp
50-79 revive, 100% hp/sp
That way at lv 50 there would be an upgrade skill to Revive.
Just a thought.
BTW: Gaining exp from a revive is a bad idea. Im already spammed for rev, rev, rev, buff, rev, pt, pt, trade, rev, buff, plz, cmon, gimme silver, you rich, buff, rev, plz -- And cursed afterwards if I either refuse or dont notice them. I dont need to have this added burden on me.

>< About the rich thing.. Actually, this peeves me more than anything.
Im not rich. Outside the game or inside the game.
I just so happen to have friends who love me so much they buy me things.
For example.. my +9 hammer was a gift from a friend.
My +9 shield was a gift from another friend (I am lv 53.. almost 54.. and still coudlnt find a SINGLE lv 50 shield. Anywhere. I finally found one.. but it was +9).
My armor are all Green drops, Yet people see my +9 and scream "RICH CLERIC PLZ PT ME". It only takes 5$ and about 50s worth of stones to make a +9 (t2) people..
Anyway, I think this is a bad idea. Hands down.
You shoudl first be glad clerics can revive.
Then be glad they made it so you come back with full hp/sp.
Dont push it by asking for added exp.

H'm, it cost me 160s to make my level-2 Bow +9, although Satu did not charge me for her Miles and Eyes.

This is really off topic, so its the last Ill say about it:
My friend bought herself eyes (t2, red and blue) costing her 5$.
I funded the stones. First plain, then lucky/blessed. It didnt COST me much since I didnt buy them (I made them or had them already), but if I had sold them, it would have been 50-100s. I say 50s, because if someone uses only regular stones, its more like.. 40 or so worth. Much more if they use blessed/lucky or end up breaking the item.

Lol. Bad ideas..

The penalty for dying in some games are 5-10%. Now compare that to this.

Augh I know the game before i played Fiesta made you lose ALL but the 5 best items in your inventory. Oftentimes.. this wasnt even enough to cover your armor. And things there are expensive.
Imagine if that were so for Fiesta? Imagine if you hd all +9 armor (jeex that would cost alot) and you died, and only got to keep what Fiesta deems as your best 5 items.
