Killed By Copper Ore!!

Bug Description: I was mining copper ore in Echo Caves. It was possibly because I started mining it right as it spawned, anyways it hit me for 355 damage and I didn't see any monsters around at all.

Location in Game (if necessary): Echo Caves

Special items needed: Mining pick

System Specs (OS, Processor, Video Card, RAM): Windows XP Home, AMD Semptron 2800+ w/integrated Graphics, 256MB RAM

Location: Oregon, USA. Portland Metro Area

Internet Service Provider: Comcast

Internet Connection Speed: 1.5 Mbit/s

My guess is you were hit by a Slanderer Phinofile, they hit hard at your level and they throw missiles so you wouldn't necessarily see it.

a word to the wise...ores dont like being mined for their treasures...you have been warned ^^

There is another kind of magebook in those mines which actually does hit you over 300 HP. I met that book, and it was not a nice meeting.

Um...Mage Books do hit that hard. They do 120 damage to a level 21 full end cleric. And that is with fancy armor and the like.


And, you are in the place where they spawn the most frequently.

Don't you go underestimating the power of stats in an MMORPG.


Anyway, it can be a mage book definitely. But i'm not sure. At your level it's very possible. Or it could've been an arch mage book. Which is stated somewhere that it attacks from very far away. MNot sure about it though.


Do you tone down the graphichs to their very lowest? Maybe that's why you couldn't see your aggressor.
