I had a question about upgrading equipment

I've noticed its really expensive to buy the stones, at a low level at least. 270 copper. And its random when you put them into the slots. But can you fill all 10 slots or however many there are and then upgrade? Doing this would be extremely expensive but it would prevent the failure rate no matter what.

You do not put more than one in at a time. There are ten slots so the Stone can move in a circle like a spin. Plus, do not buy from NPC for 270c. Do not buy from Mini Shops for more than 180c. The best price is under 75c.

Too late now, I already bought 3 of them. There goes 810 copper down the drain. I got +1 upgrade out of it though. But where can you buy it for under 75 c? You must mean just buy it from other players, do you.
