What would be the best stats to get up with a ranger?

Honestly?..I went Full str the whole way...I regretted it at times because i died rather quickly when killing alot of monsters at once, but i just bought an HP extender, and owned all the way !! it is truely awesome to have fulL STR.

It's vice versa for me. I can tank well, but my killing speed compared to other archers is slow. Though, I don't die as much and I depend on skills and licenses for high damage.
I would try a damage build rather a defensive build since you can compensate defence with some scrolls and armor.

25 Spr and full Str. That is the only archer build that really works effectively.

If you want to die a slow, agonizing, and horible death, then yes; follow this advice.

Thats a little unneeded dont you think? I've used the more rounded kind of build myself, and I still have yet to suffer a "slow, agonizing, and horrible death". If anything, its been a blessing for the times where I find myself in need of soloing. Yea, I don't do as much dmg as a 25 spr all str build, but using other things has its own advantages and disadvantages. Everyone has their own way of doing things, and for me, having some end in dex in there along with spr and str has helped a lot.

A round build of stats is key for any Archer, str/dex/end/spr are the stats that we in some way or form we put to use.
However when weighting out the differences of the stats you put in from your stat points each level and the stats you gain from gear only 3 of those stats have an extra benefit when using stat points.
Using Stat Points
The damage gained from putting points into str bypasses defense.
Dex gives an extra boost % to evasion when putting points into dex.
And Spr gives a % boost to critical.
Endurance (END) gives an extra % to block rate when putting stats into end, which is completely useless for that extra bonus if your not using a shield.
And INT is useless to everyone but mages.
So to get the most BANG for you buck, its wise to focus on str, dex, & spr when upping your stat points, and better to use your gear to increase your endurance. (this is why END gear sells alot higher)
Also add in the fact that the extra points into dex for evasion has a minor effect when facing alot of mobs. (all mobs in abyss zones, bosses, & high level mobs) So in reality as it stands right now, dex isn't very important.
Therefor it leaves str and spr fundamentally the best investment for using stat points. And thats why full str and 25spr/rest in str builds are the favorite (and most efficient).

I've used a balanced build with points in all stats (save for int) with one archer and it only gave me one never ending migraine in the form of a maladroit, derisible, contemptible excuse of mediocrity and incompetence.
Either full Str or 25 Spr/full Str are the only practical builds, the latter being more effective than the former imo. Points in Dex aren't practical. You can buy/make a T1 evasion scroll that will offer +32 evasion. Dex only adds about 0.2 Evasion until the 50's or so, where it drops to 0.1. How many stat points equal a single T1 Nature's Agility scroll? How much could those points add to your attack by putting them in Str? That is why I advise against Dex.
