Quick question for anyone who cares about refineing!

First off i have horrible luck with refineing i have gone thru about 20 bows in the past 2 hrs and about 60 or 70 since ive started the game (yes i am not kidding) each ive only gotten to a max of +5. All i am trying to do is get at least 1 +6 bow to go lvl with etc etc. Well anyways to the question is there any way to improve my chances of a successful refine and *** are the titles for show? I change my title each refine hopeing it may give me that extra boost but from the looks of it its just wishful thinking on my part and plays no role in my success rate at all. Anyways answer if you know anything thx in advance.

Use Lucky or Blessed stones.

cant say i have used alot (maybe 15 or so)but every Lucky and or blessed i used broke my wep if it failed. out of lets say 10 of those Lucky and or blessed stones i got 3 to work. i try to save my Lucky or blessed ones for my +4 or +5s should i use them sooner then +5 or +4 do they add a % to the weps success rate later on or do they just jump the success rate for that one time? sorry for asking so many questions
