Abyss: Downfall of party system?

How many of you have been unable to find party recently and had to solo, KQ, or quest for exp? And how many have seen spots on maps that had been taken before, now virtually empty and ripe for the picking yet no party to pick? Why is this? Everyone is in abyss or Trumpy Remains.

The instatement of the abyss system has only succeeded in doing two things:

- First: Made everyone richer, thus making market prices rise to seemingly unafordable prices. I've never seen a green go for such ridiculous prices before, until a friend of mine sold a 70 mage shirt for 10g. Unenhanced, mind you.

- Second: Made partying elsewhere even harder. Which, coincidentally, makes mob competition in one smaller area even worse. And its sad, but the fact that you can kill other players in the abyss (whichever level one you go to) only supports spot claiming. With added benefits of flame wars, guild wars, and in general hatred.

The second reason is the one I want to make more clear in this post, however. It appears that lately the only way to get a party is to know people, which totally throws those whom are less social than others out in the cold. Being one of them, and hearing of others having a hard time finding party... I feel horrible for not only myself, but those others as well, and want to make this problem public since not only myself is having it.

Note: AEW is practically dead most of the time, where it used to be the best place to watch amazingly funny conversations before.

It is a bit odd to me, because I tab select a lot.. and when there is someone else near I'll end up hitting them instead of a ghost, prock or shadow... x.x
Or when you have 20+ mobs around you and someone comes up and decides they want to fight... lol... Not as bad when you are a fighter but, when you're a mage and you've just aggroed with magic burst.. the last thing you need is another player adding to the already massive damage you're taking.. xD

I do understand what you mean about it being harder to find a party somewhere else.
MT is almost impossible to get a 30+ party now. >.o It makes completing quests there a bit harder, since the only thing you can really do is get a healing slave, or spend tons on stones and pots.

It does get you out there and try to be more social though.
Just party me if you'd like! ^^

I still think that the biggest problem in matters such as these is that people are too kind down there. If more people were willing to take a friend or two and kill somebody there would be more people saying "I lost over 3 million exp by the same two noobs, f**k this.." and then the outer areas would have a few more people. The problem is not the rewards from being there, it's that everyone is afraid of each other.

Ruining your reputation among the big kids? You can't seem to get a party anyway and it's better to be known as "that guy strong enough to send me to hell in 3 hits" than "that random kid" if anyone decided to get some fresh air. It's a shame that the place is so empty, but even in the 40's abyss it's always fun to kill the tank of an AoE group. Sure there's a lot of hate for a while, but it's totally worth it for the entertainement value.
My views definately don't match most people, but if there was any actual danger down there people might choose against going. It's much wiser to purely gain exp than it is to gain exp and lose half of it.

the abyss has changed fiesta, once u hit lvl 30 the abyss hands down becomes the best place to grind. Even when the xp in abyss goes down a good bit when your approaching the time to move on to the next abyss (lvl 39 49 59 69) They manage to be fantastic grind spots simply because of the immense amount of loot and the fact that abyss monsters barely do any dmg. The abyss for most part has ruined most of the game world of fiesta theres no point in grinding elsewhere unless u have a quest or your 70+ since they dont have an abyss.The gms have stated that the abyss is for pvp not grinding ,im guessing that the mobs worth tons of loot and xp were placed there so players would have something to fight over, but unleass a fight over a spot or something to that effect breaks out there is almost no pvp in the abyss at all, everyone just wants to lvl and get rich.My only thoughts on how to fix this problem would be by adding many more things to the game to give players a good reason to come out of the abyss besides restoning, more quests more kqs that are actually worth doing for the higher lvls, better dungeons and so on.

That's not to say there *isn't* any fighting. I see it happening a lot in the 60 - 69 Abyss on Bijou. Just a few days I was in a party who took out another because they tried to invade our training spot. It's not like it doesn't happen, just rather infrequently.

Why fight over a spot (which is usually hoarded by Duo's and Trio's loaded with Cash Shop buffs making it nigh-impossible to take over anyways) when you can carouse around and still get decent experience and drops?

I do agree that the loots are insane. In my opinion the Stones that drop have ruined stone making of most of its usefulness. I find it impossibly difficult to sell T2 stones of any kind. And making T3 Elrue is a waste of money since I no one seems to buy those either. It's worth more to sell the mats.

Although people willing to pay 10g for unenhanced gear is partly the cause for the economy being driven up. It's that people are willing to pay those extreme prices. If no one buys something the price will generally drop to keep inventory moving.

But I must confess that I have no idea what you're talking about when you say area's outside of the Abyss are fairly empty. Even regular training spots are still full and packed on Bijou. So.. it's business as usual except that more people can train at a time.

Indeed..abyss have helpped allot of people in ways specially, for the exp.
the drops arnt so good though, except fot the Stone drops which are great, totally I cant add more to what these good ppl are saying..lol!

I do not know about the other servers but on Bijou without the abyss we would all be screaming that there arent enough places to train. It used to be that if one entered AEW of FoS all of the aoe spots were taken and viciously defended. As to you complaint about spot claiming in the abyss the GM's have said repeatedly that in the Abyss it IS a pvp area and that unless the offending party trains you, it is all legal. As for not finding a party, it all depends on how well you do your appointed task as well as knowing people. If you area a good archer/cleric/fighter/mage than word will get around and you will get parties.

im a tage (tanking mage) so i just need a cleric everywhere i go xP
and like 50% of my f-list is full with active lvl 4x-7x clerics x_x, so i have no probs finding some1 to grind with.
usally i invite more of my friends than just 1 cleric cause im nice and letting them "leech" x_x. but lately i've been kinda much of a ****head xP, i've been duoing the big rooms in abyss just cause i want lvl 70 so bad, and i guess i'll hit that lvl soon ;)
so all u in abyss that dislikes me u will get rid of me soon i promise u ;)
if it wasn't for the servers shutdown i would be lvl 70 now but well well xP what can i do ^_^!

Idle hands really are the devils playground, first the surge of 'omg lik no wai u iz ovrpwrd guy' and now people I'm not sure... complaining about Abyss? I'm kind of trying to understand this. Are you upset that since everyone wants to be in the Abyss zones they're isn't as many people to party with OUTSIDE of it? Ah, well this is somewhat true yes.

I don't see why this is a problem though @_@ Party with friends, party with guildmates, hit the Abyss yourself. Man... servers going down = boredom beyond compare @_@ We're gonna start killin' each other soon.

Seriously, the Abyss is a great addition to the game. You have to be wary of your surroundings, make good parties, and it is great for leveling. It takes too long anywhere else, so I don't see why you are complaining about something that makes your leveling easier?!?!? If you aren't social, that is your fault, the point of fiesta is parties, if you aren't social, you just aren't going to make it very far in the game. Ask your guild for parties, ask your friends, even shout somewhere that you are looking for a party. Remember, it is just a game, even if you are shy it isn't very hard to just type something in -_-' Anyways, I strongly disagree that the abyss is bad or ruining fiesta, you need to get over it.

I never seem to find parties (Abyss or no Abyss), if i shout at Uruga some say im too low lv (since when is 47 too low?) if i shout for party for abyss at elderine, gc or cp i dont get invite either, and if i shout for pt at cp all i get is lvl 25-35 ppl that looks more like im plvling them...

Lol what i do in GC abyss is funny.

Im PL45M4 on teva anyway.
Some of you may know me, if its from abyss you probably h8 me.

ALL i do in abyss is, find a pt grinding near a room, gather the whole room, and run into parties and run away, after about 10secs mob stop running after me.
Mob runs back, but to attk the pt thats was just there, clerics start spam healing and other stoning to stay alive...
and then i stun the clerics in the pt ... and run away, so fighters and stuff hav to use stones. And then i jus sit down and watch, then i jus kill the clerics ... lol...

abyss is so funny... after about 5/10mins, normally ends up the whole of the charcters in abyss team up, and usually chase me untill i leave abyss ... xD

totally agree. i am a lvl 69 archer and when i look for party i hardly find one in abyss.
the only way for me lvl is to call up friends and find a cleric as for myself i am a tank-archer(high END + spam AoE to keep agro) so all i really need is mage/cleric/me and a good spot which is hard to find becuz most people they dont share(people are so greedy nowaday) so therefore GMs we need a bigger map for abyss.

you know what. I had a verbal pimp slap typed up for you, that would blow you til next freaking millennium. But its not worth typing a bajillion words just to say: I'm a damage dealing mage, I don't talk when I'm focused on the task at hand. It may come off as cold, rude, or anti-social but that's my style. I got as far as I did by random partying non-stop. Its not my fault that 60+ people tend to become clique-y. As my mom would say: its all in who you know, or who you blow. I don't know anyone but a handful of people outside of my guild, and none that are higher than me feel its worth coming out of TR just to help me get to their level.

So, you can sit there and say its my fault for not being social, but I'll give give you a big "whatever" and say I tried my hardest to get where I am today. The parties just don't flow because a) everywhere in abyss is taken. When I finally find duo or party, we have to float to gain exp in abyss. So its not for a lack of trying. b) no parties outside of abyss because everyone's too busy abyssing it up.

Bah... never get party for abyss... try to get to uruga, lag and die at gate like a trillion times... all my exp down to zero again (and i had 3 bubbles), and what for anyways if i can never find party at uruga either...


Maybe i should quit... what do u ppl think?

Edit: Oh i know! ill live off KQs to lvl! yay for 31k exp every 2 hours...

Personally, Abyss is a blessing and curse.
I lvl up many times faster than aoeing in other places with monsters that take twice as long to kill with half the exp, but I usually can't vend my t3 drops, especially dusts, for more than 300c, which is the average npc price.

@tuk, I reccommend you go on a killing spree in free battle zone PVP.
People don't go in there buffed up and ready to level.

lol. that's like spider kq, even though it runs once every hour, gives less and less exp each level. I manage maybe 150k per kq, which is just a few percent, if that, and when compared to over a million exp gained by a duo with my guildmate the other day... its not quite up to par.

So essentially, find someone to duo with? Mages are good for that if you're a cleric. Abyss actually does help, even though I don't advocate it. My main concern is the lack of parties EVERYWHERE, not abyss its self. Maybe if there were double levels of each abyss then fine... but they're such a small space and there are so many people inside of them. :/

i dont think abyss ruins the game, its awsome and i find that there are people everywhere on alpoline they are not just restricted to pvp areas, and ive never had a problem getting a party.

p.s party wars in abyss are so much fun :)
