Currently there only exists what it is so called "Manual Launcher Patch", which is just the replacement for some of the people who face a lot of problem with the current Outspark Launcher which they experience some interuptions during the online patching. It is just a replacement of the launcher, and this Manual Launcher Patch doesn't have the data like 20080514_00x.xz and so on...

I have been reinstalling this game for a couple of times due to many issues.
The current client which the file size is 1GB+ would only requires you to update what is from 14 May 2008 till 21 May 2008 which I can see from the files itself.

I bet most players are asking for a patch which contains all the game data from 14 May 2008 till 21 May 2008, so that they can just download the patch manually from the outspark Secret of the Solstice website instead of running an Outspark Launcher to do the online patching.

Yes, for instance, I have a 1MB Internet Connection and an average download speed of 100KB/s. Those game data from 14 May 2008 till 21 May 2008 is more or less about 50MB. If a person is using a 512KB Internet Connection, average download speed will be 50KB/s. Actually, it does much concern on players' patience of whether they can wait for this online patching to finish up, or they might just end up having error after waiting for such a long online patching process over and over again which consequently causes them to give up to try this game.

For the 1st time I install this game, I met a lot of the same error which is something like:
"Error. Secret of the Solstice needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience...."
But the 2nd time I install this game after the uninstallation using the same client, without tweaking anything in my PC, the patching runs smoothly.

We cannot guarantee when we don't face any errors during the online patching process. It can be smooth or we might end up meeting all these errors.

And for players who face a lot of problems which requires the whole game to be uninstalled and installed again, it is quite tedious to do another online patching process. It seems that there are a lot of players having problems faced while playing Secret of the Solstice and requires the reinstallation of the whole game. So, I too vote for having a "Manual Patch" for this game instead of a "Manual Launcher Patch" which is just doing online patching.

What the players want is simple, download a patch file which consists of the game data from the date like 20080514_00x.xz till 20080521_00x.xz, according to the current client. Even if the players are required to reinstall the games due to some unexpected issues, the reinstallation of the game can be done quickly.

I'm not too sure whether I should post this poll here or at the feedback section. But since most players would ask for a manual patch in the Troubleshooting section, so I'm expecting that they would come across this poll and give a vote.

And hopefully the mod can stick this poll at the 1st page of this Troubleshooting section to allow players to see this poll and give a vote. I'm sure feedbacks from the players are essential for the improvement of the game.

Agreed. I frequently face bugs and have to uninstall and reinstall, and I can't keep downloading the newest version of the GameClient either, so I have to sit through 3+ hours of updating each time. A manual patch would be very, very helpful.

Yes please. I've not even managed to get a whole hour of play time yet... When I loaded it I was just checking it then went out, and every time I've tried to play since then it's been downloading patches from back in Dec 2007. Major effort considering it's gone through the whole process twice (taking well over 5 hours each)and doesn't seem to be making the slighest bit of difference, since it comes up everytime I log in to the launcher. Let me tell you, there's been a whole truck load of patches since then till now... '-.-
All I want to do is play.... :(

You must be still using the December 2007 client which the file size is 700MB , why not download the latest client which the file size is 1GB.
It will start the patching process from May 14, 2008 instead of from December 2008 till today...

Current known updates:
May 14, 2008
May 21, 2008
May 23, 2008
So, hopefully they have at least these 3 dates' manual patches...

Yeah, this is a great idea! I have a download speed of 3kbs, and can't use the launcher update system. Also where can I find these manual patches once they are made.

Yes this would be VERY helpfull because firstly i haven't updated it since like December because of my exams........and then when i try to play the game yesterday (4/6/08), i had to patch up till date which i did (i have 100mbps internet connection) and when it is FINALLY over (after an hour or so.....) the game starts and then it goes off.........well i "thought" it wouldn't matter as i updated the game so i start the game again AND IT GOES THROUGH THE UPDATE PROCESS AGAIN............so i shut it and got EXTREMELY frustrated.....i mean it an hour to patch and then i gotta do it again...............ARRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

And yeah for people who are gonna tell me to download the new client..................i can only download upto 1 GB per month.........if i download any more it'll cost me extra (Rs(Rs=1/40$) 1 per extra GB)......but thats ok i can afford it...........but the problem is the time........and the other stuff that i download will also cost me more money.............so PLEASE let me play my favourite game without myself getting all frustrated..................PLEASE outspark PLEASE MAKE A MANUAL PATCH FROM 2007 December...........PLEASE I BEG YOU.............PLEASE PLEASE

Finally its back up(when i did nth..>_<).. i finallly can patch.. but really hope there will not be any of these patching problem to come back.. GMs maybe the patches could be sent to a person(a volunteer) who is really active in this game the patches and ask tat person to upload them in megaupload, sendspace or sth? either by patch by patch or as all the patch all together in a zip(a zip containing more zips on each patch date).. that will really help those who cant patch ^_^
