mailing system

one thing i think this game needs is a mailing system (ingame PMs)
i own 2 guilds in Apoline and am admin of some others in other servers.
even when i only had 1 guild it was hard to manage it becuse i never knew if any one was inactive or just actvie another time of day.

*** also would be nice just to say hi to friends that you haven't been able to see inawhile do to any scedule change. ***

yes it is.. but MOST people INGAME don't even come to the fourms.
i have tryed to get people to PM me in fourms but no one did. >.>

there is only like 200 active people in the fourms and like 6000+ Feista players.

It is encouraged that your in-game and forum handles are different so people cannot take your account as well.

that would be great if there were items that were more sote after... Blue items are pritty close... but for this we would also need a NPC that listed items intead of trying to set up shop.

A mailing system in Fiesta would be great, and it's actually not that difficult coding wise to impliment.

What they'd need is an NPC Postmaster, you go to it, a box opens
[Check mail] [Send mail]

The check mail would look similar to your pm box in the forums, with of course a much limited limit of how many you can have, maybe 5, with the option to delete after read along with auto-pruning and sent messages are not saved.
(to conserve server space)

The send mail box resembles a comment/enquiry box..

Recepient: [ imput name]

Message: [imput text with a maximimum character limit]

[Send]

The message is then saved for that recipient. To get their mail to get to the NPC to check mail.

Maybe even an alert like the ones that pop up when you level to tell you, you have quests, but instead oa letter icon to tell you that you have mail.

lol, it would be harder if you had to make a new NPC. :p
and also kinda a pain to have to go to town to mail some one... (and/or) get your mail.

Not harder to program. ;) I could do it, and Im more of a front end developer then a back end.

And most games with a mail system have a NPC to retrieve mail ^^
It's not too much of a pain, as you go to town all the time to restone and empty inventory.

Btw... It may actually happen in the future.. you see this?

I think an ingame mailing system would be great, even if it were just to mail simple messages without the ability to send items. There are often times where I wish I could leave a note for friends but dont see them, or theyre afk. Of course you can try to send them a whisper but it usually gets drowned in spam.

I have the same problem! I have members in guild whom I just happen to catch cause I played later than usual (or earlier) and haven't seen them since. Also doesn't help that their level doesn't really move so you don't know if they're just slow levelers or just not on at all. Being able to leave a message would be a great idea... would definitely help to keep guilds and such organized.

thats my main reson... but would be nice to be able to PM others out side of guild... i have played MMOs were you can only PM guildys... and that kinda sucks.
