I am currently a lvl 22 Archer named EveningWear on the Bijou Server (say hi if you see me ^^). I love the archer class because they are smexy, strong (in the end), and most of all just cool looking but i have found that, like i have read, no one wants to party with me. So my only option is to solo. SO anyway onto the questions.

1. At my level where is it best to train solo? Party?

2. Is there a way to better my chances of getting into a party?

3. If i solo, woudl it be best to bring lots of pots/stones r just kill a couple then rest in my house?

4. Am i just screwed?

Please answer soon ^^

Edit: I am currently training at Luminous stone 1. I am using Boneshot, Poison, power, then ...forgot what its called ( the first skill you get)(aimed shot?) anyways and killing kebings, joker kebings, and grave robbers. When my health/SP gets low i go and rest on the stairs. Just thought id tell you what im doing now.

1. At my level where is it best to train solo? Party?
Solo-->Greed of Sea, LS1 is a great place as well ^^ Umm I am a bit hesitate to say that you can go to Burning hill since I'm having a hard time remembering if I went there when I hit that level. ._.
Party-->Depends on party, but if you do then Burning hill possibly Moonlight tomb.

2. Is there a way to better my chances of getting into a party?
High + items, possibly cash shop items, being kind generous, and other great personality traits help. xD

3. If i solo, would it be best to bring lots of pots/stones r just kill a couple then rest in my house?
Bring Pots and Stones! No matter what level you are, if you solo, or if you party. You never know when you'll need them and it is better to have a lot then a little.

4. Am i just screwed?
Well ask yourself this question instead of us. We can't tell you if you are screwed. xD Tell us your build and maybe then we can review it and tell you how you can better yourself. :3

You can solo at burning hill and sand hill ok. at sand hill, try to stay at the archers and megatons(these are harder, use scrolls)

Party- didnt party till 26 so...

pots or rest- that depends on why you are playing. always have full pots when you start, and if you are just playing for fun, rest, if not, use stones/pots.

Agreed with what enishi said~ xD

I remember going to BH at lvl 22, so you should do fine there :D
Follow your quests too, since at that level they normally lead you where you want to go.

I find generally being nice a good way to get into a party xD Talk with the people you know and also those you don't~ :D

Ahem....O_o.

Sorry. It's me. Not you. I have to do that in every post....now....

1. At your level, quests are the best ways to train at your level. When you've finished all your quests, do Mara KQs (hint: Blessed Lix sells very well). And if you've done all your quests and the next KQ isn't for an hour, solo conservatively (fight monsters which drop materials for your chosen production skills: Stone: Smart Phinos, Procks, Marlone Megatons, Gold Slimes. Potions: Lizard Men, Baby Bats, the same ones for stones, Scolls: Lizardmen, Baby Bats.)

2. Sorry dear, but the only partying you'll be doing at your level is KQ. At the most, you'll duo with a cleric...and at your level they aren't much of a help (read: haven't learnt the parameters of their class yet). In your late 20s, you should start partying in Moonlight tomb and Marlone dungeon thingy place.

3. At these levels, you should be soloing conservatively. The only times you should use pots/stones are in KQs- and then too, try to save as much as you can. These are the levels where you should try to save money for the 'Trying Thirties' as I like to call them.

4. You aren't driving up a blind alley. There is real potential in the archer class. Especially with a slew of updates around the figurative corner. (Tip: Don't read the posts which have maximum posts. Those are the pessimistic ones.) It's all in the mind. If you enjoy playing as an archer, then continue to do so. It's fun!

Hope I was of help!

Hey thanks everyone for your responses ive got some great advice ^^. MissusDolly you are my idol (just thought id say that). My build is a 2:1 STR:SPR build (until i get +25 SPR then the rest will go into STR).

my two-cents on this issue^_^

1. At my level where is it best to train solo? Party?
At your level, Burning Hill, Sand Hill, SoG or LS1 are great maps to grind. You'd have to experiment which one suits you best though^^

Most of the time, it would be expected that'd you be grinding solo, so [I]kiting helps a lot with the pots and stones issue. As for partying, it's fine too but do hit maps with monsters that are a level a bit higher than your party, if and only if you have a responsible cleric, tons of money for pots and stones, or someone in the group is capable of doing satisfactory damage.

2. Is there a way to better my chances of getting into a party?
I think MissusDolly has driven the point^_^

3. If i solo, would it be best to bring lots of pots/stones r just kill a couple then rest in my house?
As I've mentioned above, kiting helps a lot. Poison, bleed, run until skills cool down, recast, run. Wash and repeat. Since I prefer to kite, pots and stones are used only when I lure more than I can handle and when I've dealt with them, I rest in my `shroom.

4. Am i just screwed?
Do take into consideration your strong and weak points as an archer and work your way with it. heh. You'd never go wrong. To quote RyaikenDune, If you enjoy playing as an archer, then continue to do so. It's fun! Hands down, I agree with him.
