Gonna solo all of 'em (tanker style)

So since I have yet to find a level 50 cleric shield (aggravating...I've been searching/shouting/posting for over a week), my tanker has become my latest project, and I have decided to solo every major boss in the game (Mara, Marlone, King Marlone etc, etc) take screenies of it and post them here (maybe someone will donate a shield to shut me up...jk) :-)

No witty banter fot her....just straight up fighting (to be honest, she terrified me...I remembered the massive failure that my cleric had trying to solo her at 30...but I was stubborn then and refused to pack stones or use scrolls)

The cleric (700 hp, no vit/def scroll) wanted to try as well...kind of predictable in results. The mage (lv 40) wanted to watch her cleric buddy get massacred and decided to stay and watch the fighter lose as well (I think I disappointed her)

explanation of comment: I wasn't damaging him alot...and he regenerates hp every so often...this fight lasted about 15 minutes

Having decided to find and fight (though maybe not kill) KM, I let a friend know when I found him to ask his advice. His advice? "find a cleric and mage"...good advice..

This guy liked stunning as well (annoying) and the archers were not helping me...so I decided to kill them first...after about 5 minutes of abuse

I was cautious...packing alot of regen potions (knowing he had several DoT attacks), even so, there were a few times I forgot to watch my hp and almost died.

You guys were right...I did wait a little long to go after him. While he was still challenging, I did not need as many potions as I thought I would. I do have to say, though....my drops suck (I got a dim dust and an old dust for him).

just so you guys know...I post screenies of each time I attempt to solo the first time...even if I don't win.

Here I was resigning myself to my fate....I had not intended to solo him, I had no backup scrolls should I lose, and had not replenished my stones since beating the staffs (that was the quest I was on) or my potions since fighting Skeleton Knight an hour or so earlier).

This was 5 minutes into the fight...you'll notice that the number of my potions and stones is going down fast...while his hp is going down...umm....not quite so fast

some others came into the area asking if anyone was there...fairly certain of my pending demise, I decided to answer, calling myself insane (for not having thought this through a little more). He invited me to his party, I guess to help...but I wanted to finish what I started...regardless of how bad it might turn out..

Don't let the low HP fool you...he regenerated like 10% of his hp from that point like 3 times in that fight...it looked like he was taunting me...

Unbelievably, I actually killed Zombie King (if only he'd been my quest at the time...I have it now, but am out of good scrolls), and for once I did not get an sp potion or dim dust for it...I got a t2 HP potion instead... (well it is a little more useful). ZK has been vanquished....up next is Robo (and running the Robo KQ...which I am looking forward to)

I have to admit...I lived because I still had alot of pots and stones (though not as many as I should have brought) and T2 vit, def, and agility scrolls in addition to a cleric buff (thank you, nice cleric). But I only won because I had a +9 weapon and a strength potion (from Myzen's quest)...without them, his hp would have been regenerating faster than I could have taken it out.

I wasn't planning on trying to solo KM today...I wanted to solo Marlone a few more times, but that proved impossible. The first time I tried I got him down to where he had like 2 or 3 more hits in him, when a level 47+ cleric and 4X fighter arrived...the cleric buffed and healed me...and the fighter did slice and dice to finish off Marlone.
I logged out for a bit, figuring that those 2 would be there for a while. I logged back in and found Marlone again, started fighting him, when another level 4X fighter showed up and started beating up Marlone (who was focused on me)...so I stopped fighting him and let Marlone attack the other guy. I fought a few nearby fighters and Megatons to level, then I left to an area where if I got KSed it would at least be by someone at my level. Upon entering, I felt the need to try to kill KM....with no one else at the entrance, I decided to try him solo now....

Besides that, congratz on soloing boss mobs. The screenshots are convincing. Usually it is a cleric soloing them, but kudos to your fighter soloing it with solid proof.

I've seen fighters post pics of soloing big guys as well. I'd like to see an archer or mage do it, though...that'd be very impressive.

Whle killing zombies to level, I came across Ghost Slime....and figured I'd kill him just for kicks (I did say I may post a screenie of him). He was harder than I thought he'd be (actually came closer to killing me than Marlone...oddly enough). 3 more levels and I can run Robo KQs...4 more to solo Skeleton Knight (maybe).

I know....I have a +9 sword...it's not that I wanted the extra power...it was just the only level 30 1 handed sword with a good end stat that I could find in the markets (if I could have found one with lower refinement, I'd have bought that).

Very nice job btw ... ive soled him on my mage a lvl 26 with tier 1 scrolls 100 hp tier 2 potions an only like 100000 tier 1 hp pots but very nice job dude keep it up

If my screenies saved id post the one of me taking km on my mage :P .... or me soloing ZK at lvl 31 ....but eh guess someone will post 1 someday

You should try SK now.. im able to kill him and im only level 29 fighter (although I do have an extender)


To the person wanting to see an archer solo a boss:.. click on my name and check out the threads i have started.. you will find one of me soloing GGK.. and yes i have CS items.. i did post pics of me without scrolls though

So I took your advice and fought SK...I guess (kind of like with Marlone), I remembered him being incredibly hard for my cleric -when I did not know the usefulness of scrolls and thought stones were not for a cleric; so I was preparing for something close to fighting a level 50 DD axe fighter..

upon finishing that, I started going throught the ZK questline....and finding myself without a party near a ZK spawnsite...and feeling a little psychotic and suicidal...I decided to try fighting him as well...

I don't think I'm gonna do robo KQ anymore, each time I mock, I die from lack of healing (despite 409 defense) and people get angry when I pull a mob and start running (even though everyone is dying) before 8 minutes....it's a total waste of scrolls for me; so I'm a bit bored looking for something to do

FINALY GOT A LEVEL 50 SHIELD!!
Apparently my constant posting finally annoyed someone into giving me one to shut me up...jk..actually I bought it from a friend that got to 60 (then, much to my annoyance, I found one by killing a sand ratman in GC with my fighter)...So I guess this thread is over for now; my fighter won't be getting much work except as storage space for a while -gonna try to get to Paladin on my cleric. Thanks all that watched (I will continue my soloing quest on my fighter...it'll just be longer intervals and seperate threads...which may have been a better idea to begin with).
Well...I guess that's it (This is the longest topic I've made....too bad most of the threads are from me). See you guys around.
